About the RoleAs a Product Safety Specialist within the Cosmetics and Biocides team, you will play a key role in ensuring Essity’s products meet the highest safety, compliance, and sustainability standards. With a global scope, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders to assess product safety, reduce risk, and deliver value to customers and consumers.

What You Will DoConduct product safety assessments for cosmetics, biocides, air care, detergents, perfumes, and additives used in hygiene products
Evaluate the impact of product processes on safety and perform risk assessments
Develop and provide product safety guidance to support cross-functional projects
Support customer enquiries, complaint investigations, and product safety incidents
Deliver training and share knowledge to build product safety capability across the business
Contribute as an active team member in both strategic and operational initiatives
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product safety, toxicology, market trends, and regulatory requirements
You hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Pharmacology, or a related field
You bring a few years of experience in product safety, human toxicology, or a similar discipline
You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to decision-making
You are familiar with cosmetics and hygiene products, including ingredient evaluation
You have a solid understanding of Australian and New Zealand regulatory requirements
You are curious, adaptable, and eager to grow your expertise in product safety
You thrive in a global, fast-paced, and collaborative environment and approach your work with energy and attention to detail
