What you'll do:

The Product Risk Team Manager will also support the continued maturity of product governance standards by strengthening operating procedures, improving reporting, coaching team members, and driving disciplined execution across new product approvals, product changes, enhancements, deactivations, ongoing monitoring, and policy adherence activities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Risk Specialists and Senior Product Risk Specialists, ensuring clear priorities, consistent execution, timely delivery, and strong alignment to Product Management governance objectives.  Provide oversight of product governance activities across assigned product portfolios, including new product approvals, product modifications, enhancements, deactivations, ongoing monitoring, product risk ratings, and Product and Services Risk Assessments.  Ensure consistent adherence to the Product Management & Governance Policy, Product and Services Governance Operating Procedure, Product and Services Risk Management standards, and related enterprise risk, compliance, change management, and documentation requirements.
  • Oversee the facilitation and quality review of Products and Services Risk Assessments, including intake readiness, stakeholder identification, evidence tracking, risk mitigation documentation, SME signoffs, and governance materials for First Risk Council, PPIC, ESPI, or other applicable forums.  Establish and maintain team operating standards, templates, job aids, procedures, routines, and quality controls to drive consistency across product governance execution and policy adherence monitoring.  Serve as an escalation point for product risk and governance questions, helping Product Managers and Product Team Leaders navigate policy requirements, risk assessment expectations, documentation needs, and approval pathways.
  • Partner with 1LOD and 2LOD stakeholders to promote effective risk identification, credible challenge, issue resolution, control alignment, and timely mitigation of product-related risks.  Monitor product-owned issues, audit findings, policy exceptions, control gaps, and governance follow-up items to support timely remediation, evidence retention, reporting, and escalation when needed.  Lead development of management reporting, dashboards, KPIs, KRIs, attestations, and governance metrics to provide visibility into policy adherence, PSRA status, product risk trends, issue aging, and lifecycle documentation completeness.
  • Support ongoing maintenance and enhancement of product governance documentation, including procedures, process maps, source-of-record expectations, product catalog data, risk rating documentation, and evidence repositories.  Coordinate cross-functional communication, training, readiness, and change management activities to ensure Product Managers, business lines, and stakeholders understand product governance requirements and their responsibilities across the product lifecycle.  Identify opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen controls, improve reporting quality, enhance stakeholder experience, and mature the Bank’s product governance and risk management framework.
