Job Description:

Job Summary: Prepare and execute reliability tests, process data to identify issues, and lead teams in implementing improvements. Direct the design of reliability metrics and standards for continuous product improvement.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures completion of product qualification test plans, including functional, reliability, and durability testing.

  • Conducts production reliability tests and methodologies to anticipate failures.

  • Evaluates product performance, history, and failure trends to determine sources of poor component performance.

  • Determines reliability requirements of components and systems to achieve company, customer, and any governmental agency reliability objectives.

  • Conducts reliability analysis and works with the design teams to ensure the products designed can meet reliability specifications.

  • Collaborates with the engineering team and seek opportunities to develop new/improve existing durability test methodology to enhance product development efficiency

  • Supports root cause analysis and resolution of issues found during testing and on returned products from the field.

  • Advises and confers with engineers in design review meetings to give reliability findings and design recommendations.

  • Reviews code and engineering standards
     

Job Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

Degree(s): Four-year ABET accredited degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree in Applied Sciences. 2-4 years in the HVAC industry or equivalent experience in a similar industry.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Communicates effectively in written and spoken form

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Exhibits good decision making and analytical problem-solving abilities

  • Demonstrates excellent multitasking and organizational skills

  • Works effectively as a team member in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

  • Office with periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.

Skills Required
