Boston Dynamics is seeking a Product Quality Engineering Intern to join the Quality team at our manufacturing facility, as we build the world’s most advanced robots. Every day, you will work closely with the Product Quality Engineering team and support day to day functions of ensuring robots leaving the facility have been built, tested and inspected to our Quality requirements. You will play a vital role in helping to ensure our customers receive robots that are made to the highest standards. To thrive in this role, you must have an understanding of engineering drawings, the part/assembly inspection process, and have excellent communication skills with a team-first mentality.

Responsibilities

Focal person for the inspection form project

Develop and create inspection forms in the MES system (Tulip)

Ensure inspection forms in the PLM system are up to date (Arena)

Analysis of inspection data and driving action according to analysis

Key participant in Process Failure Mode Effect and Analysis (PFMEA)
Qualifications and Desired Skills:
-
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics Engineering or relevant fields.

Solid understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes

Previous experience with issue tracking systems, particularly JIRA, is preferred

Advanced computer skills, particularly with spreadsheets and data visualization tools

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated with a strong ability to work independently.

Adaptable to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
