Job Purpose

The Product Quality Engineer plays a hands-on role in supporting product quality and regulatory compliance for advanced metal additive manufacturing. This role focuses on the execution of quality controls and the completion of project milestones to ensure high-performance parts meet established reliability standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on support to manufacturing lines by performing root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions for routine process issues.
  • Execute metrology inspection methods and assist in the validation of mechanical or metallurgical testing protocols.
  • Monitor performance metrics and SPC data to identify trends and assist in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of quality documentation (DHR, DMR, change orders).
  • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings to help evaluate and disposition non-conformances.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials Science, or Quality).
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality environment.
  • Basic understanding of Root Cause Analysis and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Preferred: Experience with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or AS9100; experience in additive manufacturing or regulated industries (Medical Device/Consumer Electronics).

VulcanForms offers a competitive salary and equity package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, VulcanForms provides comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; generous paid time off; and a 401(k) plan with company match. 

The annual base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $94,000.
