We’re looking for a Product Quality Engineer to support our QMS and contract manufacturer(s).

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and implement product assurance plans and procedures, aligning with contract manufacturer(s), in accordance with international standards, internal standards and ISO 9001.

  • Develop, implement and manage Quality procedures to ensure continued compliance with ISO9001, particularly with respect to product development.

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure the right level of product assurance rigor is applied and requirements are met.

  • Oversee qualification of new tools and processes, as well as changes, at the contract manufacturer(s).

  • Collaborate with third party manufacturers to establish, validate and manage the incoming, in process and outgoing quality control requirements and inspections for manufacturing operations.

  • Provide Quality leadership, guidance and training for technical and operations teams.

  • Manage changes, deviations and impact analysis throughout projects.

  • Lead root cause analysis for product/process discrepancies and develop corrective actions.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • A strong background in implementing and managing Quality Management Systems / procedures.

  • Proven track record of engaging and managing 3rd parties and aligning Quality requirements / expectations.

  • Experience of supporting manufacturing set-up and qualification, including developing third party capability

  • Extensive technical quality experience with root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

  • Experience working with nonconformances, CAPAs, SCARs and RMAs.

  • Competence with quality tools (e.g. Design of Experiments, SPC, Cause & Effect, FMEA, Gauge R&R).

  • Ability to problem-solve, analyse data, spot trends, identify and document issues, with the confidence to suggest and implement agreed process improvements.

  • Excellent planning skills with the ability to manage concurrent projects and adapt to changing priorities. Maintains a high level of focus and performance, remaining calm when facing pressure and uncertainty.

  • Effective communicator.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of post-Bachelor’s in engineering or scientific experience in QMS and end-to-end product quality experience; or Master’s degree in engineering or scientific discipline + 4 year of post-grad; or PhD in engineering or scientific discipline + 1 years of post-grad experience.

  • Qualification and/or significant experience in Six Sigma / Process improvement

  • Experience working with and managing partners or vendors

Preferred Qualifications / Experience:

  • Familiarity with optics, image acquisition, and image processing

  • Certified Lead Auditor

  • Six Sigma Certification

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $190,000-$284,000 annually.


 

Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $181,000-$270,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $162,000-$241,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
