Do you have a structured, analytical mindset and a result-oriented approached combined with experience in Product Management? Join our team as a Product Portfolio Manager, where you'll oversee the complete product lifecycle, ensuring profitability and growth. You'll manage product branding, launch new products, and phase out old ones, while working closely with sales teams and third-party suppliers. With a focus on Sealing & Bonding solutions, this role is ideal for someone with experience in construction or manufacturing industries. • Follow up on the existing product portfolio throughout the complete life cycle by analyzing sales figures and implementing adequate measures to ensure that profitability and growth targets are met
• Manage product brands and adherence to branding guidelines
• Clearly articulate the business value and positioning of products within the range
• Manage and optimize the launch of new products and product lines/solutions and phase out of old products in accordance with the Product Creation Process (PCP) and other processes within Sika
• Ensure professional communication of unique selling propositions and positioning via appropriate product packaging, labelling, master data and articles
• Support sales organizations to set up a competitive regional/local product portfolio
• Power of authority to sign general documents, legal / binding documents collectively;
• Manage and coordinate article creation and deletion for the whole portfolio;
• Manage and coordinate packaging and label design projects;
• Manage third-party suppliers in close cooperation with Procurement

Qualifications

Your expertise - Our strength

• University degree in engineering, natural sciences, or business administration
• At least 1 year experience in product management with technical portfolio (e.g.construction products, chemicals, electronics etc.)
• Experience in the construction or manufacturing industry
• Proven experience with different customer groups and sales channels
• Familiarity with PIM systems, ERPs and Business Analytics tools (BI)
• Ability to prepare comprehensible and persuasive presentations and reports
• Ability to translate market needs into sellable solutions
• Fluent in English and proven conversational German skills 
• Structured, independent and proactive way of working

Preferred

• Marketing experience (e.g. product positioning)
• Additional language skills are a strong plus
• Experience with sealants and adhesives
