Come Drive Innovation with Us.  We are looking for a Product Planning Specialist 2 to join our team in Franklin, TN.  In this role, you'll play a key role in understanding customer needs, market trends, and competitive offerings to help influence future vehicle and product strategies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys combining data analysis, research, and strategic thinking to support product decisions that impact our business worldwide.

You'll work alongside cross-functional teams across Nissan's North American and global organizations, gaining exposure to product development, marketing strategy, consumer insights, and automotive industry trends.

A Day in the Life
  • Analyze market, customer, and competitive data to identify trends and opportunities that support future product planning initiatives.

  • Conduct research and data mining activities to uncover actionable customer insights.

  • Support the development of data-driven product recommendations and business cases.

  • Create presentations, reports, and supporting documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining vehicle and product specifications while ensuring information accuracy.

  • Monitor changing consumer preferences, emerging technologies, and industry trends to identify new opportunities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Engineering, Sales, and Product Development.

  • Partner with global counterparts to align priorities, resolve open issues, and advance strategic initiatives.

  • Participate in periodic evening meetings to accommodate collaboration with international teams, including colleagues in Japan.

  • Contribute to initiatives that strengthen Nissan's brand value and support long-term profitable growth.

Who We're Looking For

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Economics, Social Sciences, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in product planning, market research, analytics, business analysis, marketing, engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and synthesize complex information.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Ability to research, organize, and communicate insights clearly to various audiences.

  • Willingness to participate in weekly evening meetings to support global collaboration.

Desired:

  • Experience performing market analysis, competitive benchmarking, or consumer research.

  • Exposure to data analysis and data visualization tools.

  • Experience working with global teams or in a multicultural business environment.

  • Understanding of Japanese business culture and experience collaborating with Japanese stakeholders is a plus.
