Job Summary:

The Payments Subject Matter Expert and Analyst is responsible for providing expertise and analysis in the field of payments. This role involves staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to payments, as well as analyzing payment data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization. The Payments Subject Matter Expert and Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that enhance payment processes, drive revenue growth, and improve customer experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to payments, including emerging technologies, payment methods, and security measures.

2. Conduct in-depth analysis of payment data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, marketing, IT, and customer service, to develop and implement payment strategies that align with business goals.

4. Provide subject matter expertise on payment-related topics, including payment processing, fraud prevention, compliance, and risk management.

5. Develop and maintain payment-related documentation, including policies, procedures, and guidelines.

6. Monitor and evaluate the performance of payment systems, identifying areas for optimization and efficiency improvement.

7. Review areas for revenue optimization and assurance

8. Collaborate with internal and external partners, such as payment processors and financial institutions, to ensure seamless integration and efficient payment operations.

9. Provide training and support to internal teams on payment-related topics, ensuring a clear understanding of payment processes and best practices.

10. Stay informed about customer needs and preferences regarding payment methods, and recommend strategies to enhance customer experience and satisfaction.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.

2. Proven experience in payments, payment processing, or related fields, with a strong understanding of payment systems, regulations, and industry trends.

3. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex payment data and identify actionable insights.

4. Strong knowledge of payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, mobile payments, and alternative payment solutions.

5. Familiarity with payment security measures, fraud prevention techniques, and compliance requirements.

6. Proficient in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools.

7. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex payment concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

8. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

9. Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

10. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions to payment-related challenges.

Compensation: $50,000 - $80,000
