The Role

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Product Owner/Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing data insights that support our key performance indicators and drive strategic initiatives. This role will play a critical part in informing data-driven decisions that enhance product offerings, operational efficiency, and overall business performance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven requirements and performance metrics.
  • Gather, clean, and organize large datasets from diverse sources to provide insights into product performance, customer behavior, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and define key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with our strategic goals and provide actionable insights to drive business decisions.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver customized dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Mixpanel, Pendo, Google Analytics, and Salesforce.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis using Python, R, SQL, and other statistical methods to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Communicate complex data insights and trends effectively through presentations, visualizations, and written reports to stakeholders across departments.
  • Work closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to design experiments, A/B tests, and other analytics-driven initiatives.
  • Continuously improve data collection processes, recommend enhancements to data infrastructure, and ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Support the implementation and management of analytics platforms (such as Google Analytics, Salesforce, Mixpanel) and ensure seamless integration of analytics tools across the organization.
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting and analysis to support senior leadership in strategic decision-making.
  • Utilize tools like Jira for project management, helping to organize tasks and prioritize workloads within cross-functional teams.
  • Leverage data insights and learnings to incorporate reports and machine learning across our products.  Work with engineering and product management on requirements to phase in new features based on the data analysis results.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role in a fast-paced environment, preferably within the automotive retail / service industry.
  • Proficiency in modern data analytics tools and platforms including, but not limited to, Python, R, SQL, Google Analytics, Tableau, Mixpanel, Salesforce, and Jira.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with data visualization techniques and tools, especially in building dashboards and dynamic reports.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
  • Familiarity with automotive retail industry trends and KPIs is a strong plus.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and organized, with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and experience with predictive analytics.
  • Experience in A/B testing and experimental design.
  • Proficiency in Python R, SQL, Salesforce, Tableau, and other relevant platforms.
