  • Experience in software technologies which integrate multiple systems using industry-wide software standards.

  • Solid experience in defining technical needs of complex applications and programs working with diverse, multi-disciplined project teams.

 How you will make it

  • Lead evolution of the Product Roadmap based on customer feedback, market analysis, competitive research, strategic priorities, and infrastructure/architecture needs.

  • Partner with Global Business Development and Sales teams, Customer Success, Marketing, CX/UX and peer Product Owner to capture and prioritize product needs.

  • Communicate product vision to senior leadership and contribute to major corporate initiatives as part of a workgroup.

  • Take high-level technical and product concepts and drive them through the evaluation and exploration of potential solutions.

  • Manage customer life cycle, enable adoption, and realization of measurable customer value.

  • Define and report on success metrics for product features and customer value generated.

  • Manage front-end phase with ambiguous definitions and multiple directions, while managing technical risk and uncertainty.

  • Work with stakeholders from OpenBlue ecosystem, product application teams, DevOps, ProdOps, product management and engineering leadership to converge on a strategy for identifying architectural changes, implementation plan, staged deployments, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.

  • Actively lead and participate in planning and design of the integrated solution, with consideration for hosting strategies and costs, deployment of the integrated solution for customers based across the globe and the ability to enable/disable services based on flexible business models around subscription-based pricing, outcome-based pricing and facility attributes.

  • Work with Customer Success and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to understand customer commitments and revenue opportunities when planning development schedules, architecture transition and production deployments.

  • Report and review the progress of project innovation milestones with the stakeholders; formalize communication plan to ensure timely, accurate information and updates are provided to appropriate stakeholders.

  • Enhance team excellence and raise the Innovation bar by accepting ownership for accomplishing new, challenging, and diverse requests, and by continually exploring opportunities to increase the value of JCI products to existing and new customers.

What we look for

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent technical field.

  • At least 4-6 years’ experience using various development technologies to deliver agile software-based projects in a product development or IT organization.

  • Strong understanding and application of IOT concepts, cloud Cloud, microservices cloud, APIs, AI-driven analytics.

  • Familiarity with HVAC concepts in commercial environments is a plus.

  • Experience in defining requirements for highly reliable and scalable systems that can support big data volumes with thousands of users.

  • Experience motivating, organizing, and leading teams from concept definition phase through deployment readiness.

  • Strong consensus-building, conflict-resolution, and persuasive skills.

  • Excellent analytical, logical and project management skills. High level of personal credibility at all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in changing communication style based on audience (technical, non-technical, executive through individual contributor).

  • Ability to manage multiple, potentially changing priorities and effectively coordinate activities across teams.

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and top-notch problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated experience leading and influencing individuals and teams without formal organizational control.

Relevant Technologies/Expertise:

  • Project planning and scheduling tools like Microsoft Project or equivalent.

  • Use of collaboration tools such as Microsoft SharePoint and Teams.

  • Experience with pre-sales and customer engagement.

  • Secure Software Development Lifecycle.
