We are seeking a skilled and experienced Product Owner with a strong background in payments processing and processor integrations to lead and manage payment-related initiatives. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the end-to-end payment flow, including authorization, capture, and settlement processes, and have an in-depth understanding of payment industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the product roadmap for payments processing and integrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve payment solutions.
- Ensure smooth integration with payment processors and manage workflows around auth/capture/settle flows.
- Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements, including PCI.
- Monitor and resolve issues related to payment processing, including chargebacks, refunds, voids, and reconciliations.
- Work closely with payment processors, gateways, acquirers, and other key players in the payments ecosystem.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with payment processing, preferably in roles involving processor integrations.
- Strong understanding of payment workflows, including authorization, settlements, and reconciliation.
- Familiarity with PCI compliance standards.
- Strong knowledge of industry keywords such as acquirer, gateway, interchange, payment facilitator (PayFac), ACH, NACHA, chargebacks, refunds, and voids.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail for resolving payment issues.
- Excellent communication skills for managing stakeholders and external partners.
