As a Product Owner at Baxter Planning, you will need to collaborate as a cross functional leader for your scrum team by working closely with the product manager, customer cohorts, Engineering teams & other internal stakeholders. The PO will engage in defining the scope of the initiatives, epics & user stories, the sizing, and delivery of new functionalities, ensuring compliance with the defined product architecture, roadmap, and feature acceptance criteria and more.
Purpose, Scope and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Product manager in translating the product roadmap into feasible functional increments
  • Groom product initiatives into well-defined, sized and documented epics & stories with clear acceptance criteria, definition of ready, and definition of done for the development team
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and anticipate their needs; translate them into product requirements and align with the product roadmap
  • Execute in line with product vision and framework set by the product strategy team
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning and elaboration of user stories
  • Prioritize & make recommendations on release scope to maximize business value
  • Act as a champion of SCRUM principles and practices
  • Work with the product manager on the enablement of internal departments to adopt, implement, support, market and effectively sell the new product capabilities


Job Requirements:

  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving abilities
  • Applying trade-off driven decisions based on available data in managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to work in teams & communicate across multiple levels across the organization
  • Ability to solicit feedback, understand customer needs and translate those to achievable scope
  • High degree of organization, individual initiative and personal accountability
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Engineering or other quantitative field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a similar role
  • Strong domain knowledge in supply chain preferred
  • Experience in software development projects preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile/SCRUM frameworks
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Fluency in English
