About the role
ShiftCare builds care management software that helps NDIS, aged care, home care, and disability support
providers roster staff, coordinate clients, and run their businesses. We're growing fast, and we're looking for a
proactive, detail-oriented Product Owner to join our Product team.
This is a hands-on role for someone with a couple of years of product or delivery experience who wants to grow.
You'll own a well-defined slice of the backlog end to end, turning customer needs and business goals into clear,
well-scoped work in Linear, and partnering closely with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to ship it.
You'll have plenty of support and room to develop, while taking real ownership of the features you drive.
What you'll do
• Own and groom the backlog. Maintain a healthy, well-prioritised backlog in Linear by writing clear user
stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements, and keeping issues, projects, and cycles up to date so the team
always knows whats next and why.
• Prioritise with purpose. Help shape the roadmap by weighing customer feedback, support trends, and
business objectives to prioritise features, enhancements, and bug fixes for your area.
• Drive delivery. Run sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives. Partner day-to-day with
engineering and design to keep work unblocked and moving, and make scoping calls as questions come up.
• Stay close to customers. Gather and synthesise feedback through support conversations, user testing, and
direct customer contact so the team stays grounded in real pain points, especially the needs of care providers
and support workers.
• Measure and learn. Track how features perform (adoption, engagement, retention) and use what you learn
to inform what to build, improve, or retire.
• Coordinate launches. Support smooth releases by writing release notes, preparing internal teams, and
making sure customer-facing and support teams are ready.
• Keep things clear. Maintain crisp product documentation, including user stories, requirements, release notes,
and FAQs, so every stakeholder stays aligned.
Requirements
About you
• 2 to 5 years', experience in product management, product ownership, project management, or a closely
related delivery role, ideally in B2B SaaS.
• Comfortable with Agile. You've worked in Scrum or Kanban teams and understand backlog management,
sprints, and iterative delivery. Hands-on experience with Linear (or similar tools like Jira, Asana, or Trello) is a
strong plus.
• Strong communicator. You can translate between customers, business stakeholders, and engineers, and
write requirements that leave little room for ambiguity.
• Detail-oriented and organised. You juggle multiple priorities, keep the backlog tidy, and consistently follow
through.
• Customer-minded. You're genuinely curious about users'; problems and enjoy turning messy feedback into
clear, actionable work.
• Collaborative and coachable. You work well across teams, welcome feedback, and are eager to grow as a
product professional.
• Bonus: exposure to the care, health, or disability sector, or experience with analytics tools and basic data
analysis.
Benefits
Why ShiftCare

• Hybrid working from our Sydney base, with flexibility around how you do your best work.
• A supportive, fast-moving product team with genuine room to grow into a senior product role.

If you're driven, curious, and ready to take real ownership of a product area, we'd love to hear from you.
