Overview:
McCain is seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as a Product Owner - Global Supply Chain Execution, reporting to the Director - Global Supply Chain Technology. In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with our Global and Regional Supply Chain team and partners in building differentiating capabilities across Order Management, Fulfillment, Customer Logistics, and Global Transportation. You will play a pivotal role in delivering best-in-class solutions through listening to stakeholders, understanding and being obsessed with our customers, and being passionate about delivering simple and elegant capabilities to the organization.
Responsibilities:
1. Product Ownership:
- Owning and establishing the capability roadmap for Supply Chain Execution in alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Be the Technology Owner for OMS and TMS Solutions
- Be obsessed with creating value at McCain.
- Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, including Global and Regional business units, and external partners, to gather and prioritize product requirements.
- Create and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that features are well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with business priorities.
- Act as an owner, challenge the status quo and stand as the guardian of the product and solution fidelity.
- Think big and develop plans for how McCain will step forward in its goal to offering a frictionless experience to our customers.
- Own all key solution design decisions and be a key member of the Solution Governance Board for your domain.
2. Product Delivery:
- Develop clear feature definitions with expected outcomes for all capabilities in the backlog and ensure the squad/pod understands the "why" of everything being worked on.
- Lead cross-functional teams alongside the Solution Architect in the design of solutions which meet requirements and provide clear direction to the Delivery team to execute.
- Own milestone planning, feature planning, and support Demo Day for your Delivery Pods
- Provide immediate feedback to the delivery teams on opportunities for improvement and solicit the input of the business user community at the right times to gain alignment and ultimately sign off.
- With Scrum/Agile/SAFe methodologies and provide leadership and direction to the Delivery squads.
3. Supply Chain Process Standardization:
- Work alongside our supply chain process optimization teams to deliver a global template and solution for supply chain planning.
- Partner with the data governance and business teams to standardized supply chain master data processes with the objective to increase the data integrity.
- Be data driven and lead the development of insights and intelligence capabilities for supply chain to enrich the decision-making process.
- Challenge the status quo and be an evangelist for technology simplification through process standardization.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Foster strong relationships with the Global and regional supply chain and IT teams
- Communicate product updates and project milestones effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
- Hold our delivery teams accountable to the committed timelines in a respectful and collaborative manner.
- Interlock with neighbouring process and technology teams (e.g. Procurement, Transportation) to deliver fully integrated E2E solutions.
5. Risk Management:
- Communicate the risks coming from the delivery arm to the business and always be prepared with options.
- Turn risks into mitigations into decisions.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or Advanced Diploma in Technology, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Proven experience of 5+ years in Product Ownership/Management, Consulting, Delivery management, or Supply Chain operations/continuous improvement
- Experience in consumer products (Manufacturing, wholesale, or retail) is considered an asset.
- Deep experience in supply chain execution technology such as leading Order Management & Fulfillment (OMS) and Transportation (TMS, RTTVP)
- Breadth and depth of understanding of supply chain planning processes and technologies.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience managing projects and teams in an agile environment. Formal training is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills including ability to obtain buy-in, leading thoughtful and meaningful discussions and eliciting timely decisions.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for informed decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
