Product Owner / SQL Developer

What you'll be doing is functioning as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, and/or Proxy PO to influence, guide and handle responsibilities of a product owner.

• Collaborate and communicate with various product teams, BA’s, testers, etc. to understand product features
• Collaborate with stakeholders and product teams to decompose large epic stories into features and user stories that can be understood and approved by members of the development team
• Create SQL queries for validation of data loads and for general purpose ad-hoc needs
• Lead/facilitate product backlog refinement
• Provide support to the Product Owner with backlog prioritization, feature sequencing and organization, user acceptance testing, etc.
• Build trust and respect, establish relationships, and develop rapport with technical and non-technical team members

What we’re looking for is someone who is willing to learn and open to new ideas. This position requires a candidate with an enthusiastic and energetic personality who will be organized, inspirational and collaborative

• 3+ years of experience working in an agile environment, with solid understanding of the Product Owner role
• Experience writing user stories
• Experience managing a product backlog
• 3+ years of SQL experience, ideally a former software developer
• Advanced SQL skills, able to write complex SQL queries
• Self-starter with focus on PEOPLE and BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools

PREFERRED:

• Current or prior experience working as a product owner
• Scrum or Product Owner certification like CSPO, PSPO, CSM
• Experience working with offshore teams

• Bachelor's degree

LOCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Able to work east coast hours from your home office in the US
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship (no subcontracts or visa sponsorship)
