We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis professional with strong expertise in SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) and SAP Cloud ALM (CALM), combined with working knowledge of Tricentis Tosca & Enable now, to take on the role of Product Owner. This role involves driving the strategic roadmap, operations, and lifecycle management of monitoring, testing, and operations platforms within the SAP landscape.
As a Product Owner, you will bridge technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure SAP landscapes are robust, automated, and aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as Product Owner for SAP Basis, Solution Manager, and CALM platforms.
Own the backlog, prioritize features, and manage sprint planning in collaboration with Agile teams.
Lead the strategy, implementation, and support of SAP Basis operations, SolMan functionalities (e.g., CHARM, Monitoring, Test Suite), and transition to SAP CALM.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to integrate Tricentis Tosca into SAP testing processes.
Work with functional consultants and business teams to identify training needs and convert them into effective learning content.
Drive automation and operational excellence across SAP landscapes, including upgrades, patches, and transport management.
Liaise with SAP, vendors, and internal stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.
Ensure documentation, governance, and compliance for SAP operations.
Monitor system performance, coordinate root cause analysis, and lead incident management efforts.
Facilitate workshops and training for stakeholders on tools and best practices.
Provide input on budget planning, vendor evaluations, and tool licensing.
Required skills & experience:
9+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration and operations.
Proven experience with SAP Solution Manager (7.2) – particularly CHARM, System Monitoring, and Test Suite.
Working knowledge or hands-on experience with SAP Cloud ALM (CALM).
Good understanding of SAP applications (SAP S/4HANA, ECC, Fiori, etc.).
Familiarity with Tricentis Tosca and its integration with SAP systems (SAP GUI, Fiori, etc.).
Understanding of SAP Enable now to develop learning content.
Solid understanding of SAP transport management and system landscape strategy.
Experience in Agile methodology; previous experience in a Product Owner role is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables and prioritize accordingly.
Preferred Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
9-12 years of industry experience in SAP domain.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Solman & CALM administration
Exposure to test automation and learning management tools like Tricentis Tosca & Enable now.
Exposure to cloud platforms like SAP BTP, AWS, or Azure.
Certification in SAP Basis or Solution Manager is good to have.
Product Owner or Agile Scrum certification (e.g., CSPO, SAFe PO/PM) is good to have.
