Job Title- Product Owner – Process Automation, AVP

Location- Pune, India

You will define the product vision, prioritize the backlog, and ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs. Acting as the bridge between stakeholders and development teams, you will drive execution and adoption of innovative solutions.

Your key responsibilities

Product Vision & Strategy

  • Develop, create, and communicate the product vision and roadmap in alignment with business objectives, sustainability goals, and automation initiatives.
  • Work closely with product director/program manager, architecture, and engineering leadership to define and drive product strategy and execution.
  • Act as an expert voice on sustainability matters within development teams.

Backlog Management

  • Own and continuously refine the product backlog for teams delivering automation solutions across Private Bank Germany.
  • Prioritize features and enablers based on criticality, cost, and value to ensure maximum business impact.
  • Support transition to a scaled agile framework as the product grows.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary liaison with business owners, delivery teams, and solution/system architects.
  • Build deep relationships with users and customers to elicit requirements, shape product vision, and drive adoption.
  • Provide transparent, metric-driven updates to stakeholders and act as a senior escalation point.

Delivery & Integration

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions.
  • Contribute to architecture-level design decisions for automation and integration solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership in Java-based development, ensuring best practices in Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
  • Lead the development and deployment of process automation workflows using Spring Boot , BPMN, Camunda.
  • Ensure automation solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and testing standards, with a focus on automated testing.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and report on product performance and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Participate in the end-to-end development cycle, working closely with squad teams.

Your skills and experience

Experience

  • 5+ years as a Product Owner and overall 8+ years in product management or related roles.
  • Proven experience in Financial Services or Banking industry, including private, corporate, or investment banking.
  • Strong background in technology products and services involving data sourcing, management, analytics, and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with process automation tools and technologies, including BPMN and Camunda or Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
  • Experience in architecture-level design and technical leadership for enterprise applications.

Agile Expertise

  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) and experience operating in scaled agile frameworks.
  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and running agile ceremonies.

Technical Knowledge

  • Familiarity with BE technologies (spring boot, Camunda, Oracle, BPMN diagrams).
  • Good understanding of IT processes, software development, and engineering best practices (e.g., TDD, CI/CD).
  • Knowledge of automation technologies and data security best practices.

Domain Knowledge

  • Understanding of financial products and data across private banking.
  • Knowledge of and interest in sustainability in financial services is a plus.

Core Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable driving requirements and priority discussions with senior stakeholders and translating business needs for engineering teams.

Management Experience

  • Candidates with a Java background who have transitioned into technical Project/Product Management roles will also be considered suitable.
  • Preference for individuals currently working in Technical Lead or Managerial roles.
