Role Overview

Reporting to the VP of Development you will transform business requirements into detailed specifications that the development team will use to develop the next exciting features. You will have to learn how the current system works and, together with the teams and architects, design the best approaches.

What you will do:

  • Create detailed business requirements and translate them into user stories.
  • Pair with the Scrum Master to maintain a sorted backlog that reflects that stakeholder’s priorities.
  • Build written payments knowledge base that others can use to learn and grow their skills.
  • Work with other teams to design end-to-end payments solutions across retail, hospitality, and core payments.

Who you are:

  • You have 5+ years development experience in the payments industry.
  • You deeply understand single message and dual message payments flows.
  • You are familiar with the top card schemes and their interfaces.
  • You are able think on solutions for high volume systems, that parse and ingest huge files within minutes timeframe.
  • You love coaching others and spending time helping them grow their payments knowledge.
  • You can deliver feedback using clean and emotionally safe language.
  • You have a growth mind-set while exemplifying and promoting agile values and principles.
  • Ability to think analyse and think quick.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills.
  • You have experience in delivering software development through an agile delivery model, preferable SAFe and Scrum.
  • Passion for detail: Must have proven ability to architect and drive through change in a fast-growing company.
  • Solid team Player: To be able to work with diverse teams in many locations.
  • Outstanding communication & presentation skills; Must be able to communicate with non-IT specialists.
  • Time Management: Must have proven time management skills and the ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Decision maker: Willing to take responsibility and able to make sound decisions.
