The Product Owner Intern collaborates with the business and IT teams in support of solution development, system support, and continuous improvement initiatives. Aligned with TRIMEDX’ Vision, Mission and Values, this individual will perform in an Agile development environment, working with Solutions (“Product”) Managers, business leaders, internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, user experience designers, and/or software developers. The Product Owner Intern facilitates and documents project scope, business processes, researches and addresses system related questions, and actively validates solution enhancements that are rolled out to the organization. This position serves as a liaison between various business and technology key stakeholders for the purpose of ensuring business processes, informational needs and technology needs are properly documented, communicated, validated so proposed solutions can be architected. The Product Owner Intern coordinates quality assurance testing to ensure documented business processes are technologically enabled through proposed solutions. In a support capacity this associate is responsible for supporting major business value streams, identifies opportunities for improvement, performs root cause analysis on issues and ensures issues are resolved.

Responsibilities            

  • Program Coordination: Assists with low complex projects/products in an Agile framework with an emphasis on measurable, value add deliverables.
  • Product Ownership: Assisting with daily scrum activities, modifying JIRA stories during backlog refinement and sprint planning, along with creating sprint demo materials.
  • Communication & Change Management: Assists in clear product/project communication to all stakeholders involved regarding scope, timelines, issues, and any revisions to them.
  • Relationship Management: Assists in efforts to build relationships and maintain current relationships with business stakeholders both internal and external of D3.
  • Strategy & Business Consulting: Develops a basic understanding of core business problems and looks for opportunities to use advanced analytics.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

  • Possess quantitative and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to support routine analysis.
  • Effectively communicate concepts, tools and techniques.
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced, dynamic and ambiguous business environment.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
  • Experience with the ServiceNow software platform is a plus.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications required, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills to assess business processes and suggest improvement strategies for the process.

Education and Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program required
