What you’ll do at Jamf:

The Product Owner II facilitates the development of valuable products that meet the needs of Jamf customers and deliver toward the company strategy. They play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our business objectives and product development. They work closely with product managers (PMs) and engineering teams to turn roadmap initiatives into backlog items, prioritize the backlog based on business and customer needs, and deliver new product features to the market. They participate in process improvement and operational excellence across the Product team. This role requires working understanding of both technical and business aspects, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. The Product Owner reports directly to the Product Manager. 

This role is remote in Poland. We are only able to accept applications for those based in Poland and have sponsorship to live and work in Poland. 

 

What you can expect to do in this role: 

  • Collaborates with engineering teams and stakeholders to create and maintain the Product Backlog by continuously defining user stories, prioritizing backlog items, and evaluating scope. 
  • Maintains accurate records of development status and backlog priorities in project tracking software (e.g. Jira). 
  • Directs and inspires one or more engineering teams to build the most valuable platform service, in the smallest shippable increments, with measurable high quality, to fulfill Jamf’s platform vision.
  • Defines acceptance criteria for each assigned product increment and validates outcomes during and after delivery. 
  • Works with Product Managers, Engineering leads and Engineering team(s) to break down work into increments small enough to plan and estimate with high confidence. 
  • Defines Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and suggests metrics for monitoring and usage. 
  • Understands the technology stack, architecture, and technical constraints of the product to make informed decisions and guide development efforts. 
  • Documents and Guides technical integrations and dependencies between product features and other platform services.
  • Acts as the final decision maker to define what is in and out of scope for a product sprint . 
  • Identifies and communicates the risks to their platform services development plans . 
  • Participates in Scrum ceremonies and events. 
  • Leads and maintains knowledge in assigned areas of responsibility by frequently communicating with customers and stakeholders in order to serve as the voice of customer for engineering teams.
  • Participates in efforts to improve Product operations, collaborating with Product Managers and Product Leadership. 
  • Participates in cross portfolio collaboration to develop, deliver and maintain software in working with senior stakeholders in both product and engineering. 
  • Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.

 

What we are looking for: 

  • Minimum of 3 years working with, leading, and motivating teams (Required). 
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant Product Owner experience, with a demonstrated track record of delivering quality platform services (Required).
  • Experience as a member of a complex team, such as distributed/remote or international (Preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years delivering platform services within a fast-paced software engineering environment in an Agile development environment (Preferred). 
  • Minimum of 3 years working with the Atlassian software suite (Preferred).
  • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required).  
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) (Preferred).
  • A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered.
  • Preferred Certifications: Jamf certification courses, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Product Owner training (CSPO training).
