Your Team's Impact
FactSet’s Deep Sector Product Owners team is responsible for planning, communicating and monitoring projects across sector groups in the Deep Sector organization.
The team works with developers, analysts and sector leaders across the Deep Sector groups to help FactSet deliver projects from sector-specific content to a diverse client requested enhancement across 9 sectors: Banks, Insurance, Real Estate, Power & Utilities, Telecommunications, Metals & Mining, Oil & Gas, Specialty Finance, and Healthcare. The product owner sits between content stakeholders and software engineering teams to lead a unified effort in producing industry-leading, competitive products that meet the needs of our clients.
You will join a team of product owners working on oversee software development projects and drive successful delivery across Deep Sector content. Success in this role requires experience managing software development projects using Agile methodologies and JIRA, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
What You'll Do
- Project Planning & Backlog Prioritization: Leverage Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile, Kanban, and Scrum. Utilize JIRA to configure EPICs, story boards, Tasks, and testing environments.
- Scope & Goals Definition: Collaborate with stakeholders to establish clear project objectives, deliverables, and boundaries. Translate project requirements into JIRA story cards, ensuring test criteria and delivery expectations are captured.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor project tasks, performance, and timelines to ensure alignment with plans. Proactively manage and document support requests, classifying and assigning KTLO (Keep the Lights On) and BAU (Business As Usual) tickets based on complexity and priority.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear and consistent updates on project plans, execution, and development status to key stakeholders and team members.
- Organization & Resource Management: Lead Agile sprint planning meetings, assign tasks, and allocate resources to maximize team productivity and success. Bring a high level of organizational skill, motivating and guiding diverse teams to maintain focus and deliver results.
- Leadership: Exhibit a servant leadership style, fostering collaboration and empowering team members to fulfil their roles effectively.
What We're Looking For
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related STEM field.
- 4+ years of experience managing software development projects, preferably within an Agile environment and using project management tools such as JIRA or similar platform.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile, Kanban, and Scrum.
- Proven experience in planning, tracking, and prioritizing complex project workflows, including breaking down large initiatives into actionable tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Excellent organizational skills with a track record of effectively allocating resources and managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey project execution plans, status updates, and critical information.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.

Salary is just one component of our compensation package and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications.
The budgeted salary range for this role in the state of Colorado is $83,000-$95,000.
