Product Owner – Digital Procurement

What you will be doing
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join as a Product Owner, Digital Procurement. You will be responsible for defining, developing, and delivering digital products that enable and enhance the procurement function.
You will own the product capability and vision, working closely with procurement leaders, digital teams, developers, and external partners to ensure solutions meet business needs and deliver measurable value.
Responsibilities:
With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:
Define and communicate the digital product capability, vision and roadmap for procurement systems and platforms.
Own and manage the procurement digital product backlog, prioritising features based on business value, user needs, and strategic goals.
Work closely with procurement, finance, legal, and technology teams to gather and refine requirements.
Act as the voice of the user, ensuring solutions are intuitive, efficient, and meet user expectations.
Lead agile delivery (e.g. backlog, sprint planning, demos) and ensure alignment between stakeholders.
Monitor product performance using KPIs and user feedback, driving continuous improvement.
Manage relationships with external vendors and internal developers to deliver solutions on time and within budget
Stay informed about procurement best practices, market trends, and emerging technologies.

Proven experience as a Product Owner, Digital Project Manager, or similar role, ideally within procurement or supply chain
Strong understanding of procurement processes (e.g., sourcing, supplier management, contract management, purchase-to-pay)
Familiarity with digital procurement platforms (e.g. Ivalua, Coupa, Jaggaer) and integration with ERP systems
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to balance strategic thinking with attention to detail
Desirable Skills
Experience with data analytics, reporting, and procurement dashboards
Knowledge of emerging procurement technologies (AI, automation, blockchain)
Certification in Agile (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, SAFe) or relevant product management credentials
Exposure to change management and training initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, IT, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus)
Professional procurement certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are advantageous but not essential
