Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Digital Product Owner to lead the strategy, modernization, and delivery of enterprise authentication and identity capabilities. This role is responsible for driving large-scale cybersecurity and identity initiatives that strengthen security, improve user experience, reduce operational risk, and support the firm's digital transformation objectives. The Product Owner will partner across Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, Technology Operations, and Business teams to define and execute the roadmap for authentication services spanning on-premises and cloud identity platforms.
In this role, you will:
Serve as Product Owner for enterprise authentication capabilities, including MFA, identity verification, and secure access services.
Define and execute product strategy, roadmap, and delivery plans aligned to cybersecurity, regulatory, and business objectives.
Lead large-scale authentication modernization efforts, including migration from legacy authentication platforms to strategic enterprise solutions.
Partner with engineering teams to deliver secure-by-design and secure-by-default authentication capabilities.
Drive adoption of Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory modernization, and cloud identity services across the enterprise.
Establish product success metrics, monitor operational health, and continuously improve customer experience and security outcomes.
Lead executive communications, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and governance activities related to authentication services.
Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and intelligent workflows to enhance identity security and operational efficiency.
Manage complex dependencies across multiple product teams, technology organizations, and external vendors.
Represent the authentication product portfolio during audits, regulatory reviews, risk assessments, and executive leadership discussions.
Lead or participate in variety of complex functions within the digital environment
Contribute to large-scale planning related to the execution of the digital strategy
Review and analyze complex content strategy/creation, customer experience, analytics/research or product management that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
Independently resolve complex issues
Lead team to meet project deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of digital initiatives, policies, procedures and/or compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Potentially lead projects, teams or provide direction to junior staff on less complex digital initiatives
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Experience leading Identity and Access Management (IAM) products, including Authentication, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Passwordless Authentication, Identity Verification, and Access Security solutions.
Strong product management experience driving large-scale cybersecurity and identity modernization initiatives from strategy through execution. Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, authentication protocols, and enterprise identity architecture.
Experience leading enterprise authentication migrations, including legacy authentication platform retirement and modernization programs.
Demonstrated ability to partner across Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Engineering, Technology Operations, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Business teams to deliver complex initiatives.
Experience defining product roadmaps, business cases, success metrics, and executive-level communications.
Strong understanding of identity governance, privileged access, authentication controls, and regulatory requirements within highly regulated environments.
Experience leveraging automation, AI, and emerging technologies to improve identity security, operational efficiency, and user experience. Ability to influence senior leaders and drive organizational change across large, matrixed enterprises.
Experience working in Agile environments, managing product backlogs, prioritization, and delivery across global teams.
