The Customer Service Direct, insights and reporting team (india) supports our customers in DB/DL voice, messaging and CEBA channels, as well as collections reporting. The analytics team ensures these processes runs smoothly and optimally by delivering operational reporting and insight.

As a Product Owner CSD insights and reporting (India), you will report into the Executive Manager, Customer Service Direct Insights & Reporting. You will be leading a team with the full spectrum of data delivery capabilities, through to analytics, insights, and reporting. You will be accountable for end-to-end ownership from strategy, planning and through to execution. You are strategic, analytical and a forward-thinking creative problem solver, highly capable of driving through ambiguity - you’ll constantly identify and execute solutions to challenges/opportunities. 

In any given week you will: 

  • Work with the crews to understand both requirements on data delivery and business insights, to set and implement the strategic direction for the data strategy, along with overseeing execution.

  • Manage a mix of internal and external stakeholders, with stakeholders across Domains and/or Business Units or Support Units.

  • Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary squad of data delivery and analytical professionals, creating a psychologically safe, inclusive, accountable, and high-performance culture

  • Define and deliver the squad’s roadmap, vision, and KPIs and manage the squad’s performance to defined OKR’s

  • Lead delivery team members and stakeholders to ensure timely and quality delivery of strategic initiatives

  • Be accountable for end-to-end delivery (including managing requirements lifecycle, production deployment, and release day coordination and sign-off)

  • Act as the voice of the customer and business and translate this for the squad.

  • Apply expertise to support prioritisation, balance trade-offs, and explore strategies to successfully achieve business and customer outcomes.

  • Drive product exploration (using design thinking and analytics) and formulate hypotheses to validate product strategy / design

  • Ensure all obligations across customer, regulatory, internal policy and process frameworks (such as GDF, PDDP, RiC) are fully met and satisfied

  • Identify, articulate and manage risks, dependencies and compliance across streams of work e.g. customer propositions

  • Drive squad effectiveness and agile maturity i.e. sprint burn down, release burn up, and squad/team health in partnership with Agile Coaches and Performance Leads

  • Advocate and contribute to best practices and share learnings with the Product Owner community within CBA, including mentoring Product Owners and squad members, and challenging and influencing stakeholders across the Crew.

  • Define product vision, goals and roadmap, aligned to Crew objectives and purpose, and engage with key stakeholders (Business and Technology) to manage its delivery.

  • Experience in working in a financial services environment or a similar multifaceted organisation

  • Advanced problem solving capability

  • Demonstrated delivery related experience in data domain

  • Domain knowledge in Collections, Direct Banking or Direct Lending is highly desirable

  • 8+ years’ experience in analytics, process improvement, or related fields.

  • Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Excel, and a solid understanding of data management practices will be an added advantage

  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to solve complex problems and recommend intuitive solutions.

  • Experience in process improvement roles, particularly in driving operational efficiency will be well regarded.

  • Risk Mindset – All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks;

  • Stakeholder Management – Demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into simplified stakeholder key messages and present to senior leaders;

  • Commercial acumen – Demonstrated understanding of key business concepts and translating this into actionable insights;

  • Subject matter expert – Proven experience in using best practice across analytics, data management, process improvement and governance.
