Job Description

The Product Owner - Core Universe is responsible for setting the vision and owning the results of their scrum team. In this role, you will;

  • Own and prioritise the backlog of work for the team which could include client delivery, maintenance, defects, incidents\ and continuous improvement using the relevant frameworks and guidelines. 

  • Define the acceptance criteria for any work to be completed by the team 

  • Partner with Product Manager/s to build new and enhance and optimise products in line with broader market needs and trends 

  • Collect client and stakeholder input and represent the ‘voice of the client’ at the team level. 

  • Manage alignment of priorities for the team alongside demands on the team from other Product Owners 

  • Direct people management of the Business Analysts in the squad 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have;

  • Pride themselves in product strategy and process ownership
  • Knowledge in Payments, Core Banking Systems, or Universe is highly desirable 
  • Strong ability to develop productive working relationships with both technical and non-technical partners 
  • Strong understanding of customer needs and business strategy 
  • Proven delivery experience of product implementation
  • Knowledge of Agile product development methodologies/tools and experience writing user stories
