About Public Safety: We have a proven history of developing innovative software for the public sector. It is an exciting time within Public Safety as we accelerate our customer growth and lead innovation within the market, particularly with the application of AI into our solutions. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Software Product Owner to join our dynamic product team. 

Key Responsibilities: 

· Product Vision and Strategy: Assist in defining and managing the product vision of particular products and features in our ‘Control Room’ portfolio, ensuring that they align with the overall company and product strategy. 

· Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, customers, sales, marketing and software development teams to gather, analyse and prioritise product requirements ensuring alignment and supporting new business opportunities. 

· Writing great features: Create clear, well-defined features comprising requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria with an excellent attention to detail. Ensure features are documented so as to be easily understood by internal and customer stakeholders. Guide the development team on what to build to maximise product value. 

· Sprint Planning: Participate in sprint planning meetings, ensuring the team understands the product backlog and priorities. 

· Product Roadmap:  Assist in maintaining a product roadmap that outlines the product's evolution, key milestones and backlog. 

· Market Research:  Assist with competitive analysis to help inform product decisions and identify opportunities for innovation 

· Release Management:  Coordinate product releases, ensuring timely delivery and communication with stakeholders. 

Qualifications

Skills & Experience: 

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar analytical role in the software sector, with experience of specialist enterprise-scale applications 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making. 

  • Ability to deal with detail and explore all the ‘what ifs’ of a situation 

  • Experience working with agile methodologies 

  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle. 

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills. 

  • Familiarity with product and software management tools (e.g. ADO, Aha!). 

  •  An understanding of the public safety market is preferable but not essential.

Skills Required
