Product Owner - Archer Platform

How do you create direction and make tough trade-offs in a 36-hour role within one of Rabobank’s most complex risk domains? 

How do you keep the bigger picture while navigating regulatory pressure, business needs, and platform sustainability at the same time? 

Within the Area Operational Risk Platforms (ORP), part of Tribe ORIS, the Archer platform plays a critical role in enabling the bank to manage Non-Financial Risk, regulatory adherence, and governance in a coherent way.

As Product Owner – Archer Platform, you know the secrets of creating clarity in a complex and fragmented Non-Financial Risk landscape. You shape a long-term product vision for a platform that sits at the heart of risk management, governance, and regulatory processes across Rabobank. You translate complex regulatory and risk topics into clear direction, helping the organisation make the right choices in a constantly changing environment. 

You operate primarily at a strategic and conceptual level. In practice, this means balancing regulatory commitments, business impact, and platform scalability on a daily basis. You connect squads, stakeholders, and decision-makers across multiple organisational levels, creating alignment where priorities compete. You deliberately stay out of detail, empower Business Analysts to own content and analysis, and keep the focus on value, innovation, and end-to-end delivery. 

How does this role challenge you in your daily work? 

• Aligning multiple Archer squads around one integrated product vision, preventing siloed optimisation and ensuring end-to-end value delivery. 

• Accelerate innovation by bringing product vision to life and delivering tangible business value through the effective use of new technologies.

• Making explicit prioritisation decisions when regulatory deadlines, business needs, and long-term platform health compete. 

• Partner closely with business and Non-Financial Risk stakeholders, translating their needs into prioritised value rather than individual solutions.

• Scale 10–11 with significant strategic impact in a key Non-Financial Risk domain.

What do you bring to succeed in a strategic and complex role like this? 

• Master’s or Bachelor’s level with proven ability to operate at conceptual and strategic level in complex organisations. 

• Proven experience as Product Owner within large-scale, agile or product-led environments with multiple stakeholders. 

• Experience in Non-Financial Risk and/or IT environments; knowledge of Archer is a strong advantage. 

• Strong business partnering skills, able to influence stakeholders from subject matter expert to senior management level. 

• Decisive and structured, with the ability to make clear prioritisation choices in complex, demand-driven environments. 

• Collaborative and transparent, with confidence to delegate detail and empower Business Analysts to own content and analysis. 

• Strong command of English; Dutch is a plus.
