Product Owner for Anaplan
What you will do
We’re looking for an experienced Anaplan Product Owner to lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of our enterprise sales planning solutions. This role focuses on commercial planning, quota setting, territory and quota management, and sales capacity planning.
You’ll act as the strategic link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring Anaplan solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise goals.
How you will do it
Own the roadmap for Anaplan commercial planning use cases (quota setting, territory planning, sales capacity). Align priorities with strategic goals.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Sales, Finance, HR, IT, and Operations to define and prioritize features and user stories.
Translate business needs into scalable Anaplan model designs, following global templates and best practices.
Manage delivery lifecycle: backlog grooming, sprint planning, testing, and release. Ensure smooth change management and communication.
Ensure governance: data security, access controls, and compliance in all models.
Work with integration teams to manage data flows with systems like Snowflake, Salesforce, OneStream, Workday, and Callidus.
Enable users: create documentation, training, and run enablement sessions. Monitor adoption and continuously improve the platform.
Anaplan product SME – keep up with the latest features and ensure solutions scale with business needs.
Provide thought leadership on Anaplan Center of Excellence (CoE) practices, including model lifecycle management, governance, and internal capability building.
What we look for
Required
8+ years of experience in Anaplan or similar enterprise planning platforms (e.g., Oracle SPM, Varicent, Xactly, Forma.ai., Workday Adaptive Planning, Callidus(SAP)).
Proven experience as a Product Owner or Solution Architect in enterprise planning or commercial systems.
Technical knowledge in one or more of the following: understanding and explaining how technical issues have been troubleshot, Anaplan model building (or similar technology), Anaplan administration, workspace management, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
Experience with system integrations and troubleshooting data discrepancies.
Strong functional knowledge of quota setting, or compensation management, territory planning and sales capacity planning in a commercial context.
Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Finance, and IT).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Fluent in English (written and verbal).
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
Certified Anaplan Administrator, Anaplan Solution Architect or Master Anaplanner.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (TAW, Jira, Salesforce).
Background in multinational corporations with complex planning needs.
