About the AEC Platform Data Team
Our team designs the APIs, services, and user experiences that form the data backbone of Autodesk’s Design and Make Platform. We focus on solving critical workflow challenges related to data exchange, enabling our customers to unlock the full value of their project and asset data. By streamlining how asset information requirements are specified, managed, and fulfilled across the lifecycle, we help professionals in the AEC industry work more efficiently, intelligently, and collaboratively.

Position Overview
Autodesk is seeking a Product Owner to join our AEC Platform Data team. In this role, you will help deliver Information Requirements capabilities that streamline how Autodesk’s customers define, manage, and fulfill information requirements for built assets across the lifecycle, from concept through operations

As a Product Owner, you will work directly with customers to understand their needs and act as a key connector across Product Management, Experience Design, and Engineering. • Collaborate with Product Managers to align backlog prioritization and sprint planning with product strategy, release goals, and the roadmap

  • Translate complex requirements into well-scoped work items through close collaboration with designers, engineers, and stakeholders

  • Own backlog refinement and sprint readiness, serving as the primary contact for delivery teams on priorities, scope, dependencies, and blockers

  • Monitor delivery performance and alignment with expected outcomes, using telemetry, analytics, and customer feedback to drive iteration

  • Surface, manage, and help resolve risks or dependencies that may impact timely delivery

  • Promote agile best practices and a platform-first mindset by keeping the backlog visible, transparent, and ready for execution

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in product ownership or a closely related product delivery role within Agile software development environments

  • Familiarity with the AEC industry, including Building Information Modeling (BIM) and related design, asset data, and lifecycle workflows

  • Experience owning or prioritizing a product backlog, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, and partnering closely with engineering teams through delivery

  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the software product development lifecycle

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and align cross-functional teams

  • Experience delivering cloud-based SaaS solutions and working with tools such as Jira and Confluence

  • Ability to balance customer needs, technical feasibility, and business value in day-to-day prioritization and scope decisions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of data management and governance principles, including metadata and information governance

  • Experience working in matrixed organizations and influencing without direct authority

  • Experience with platform or API-first product development

  • Experience delivering scalable SaaS or platform capabilities and improving them through customer feedback, telemetry, and iterative delivery
