Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will be working as Product Marketing Specialist and will be reporting to Product Marketing Manager. You will be a part of Electrification business area for Smart Building division based in Bangalore, India. You will be responsible for implementing product marketing strategies in assigned area to meet business objectives and in line with global/local product strategy and implement all marketing activities, and support Sales/Front-End Sales (FES) organizations in sales and services of respective products.
The work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite
The role will support for the ABB India Ltd for Electrification Smart Buildings Business to be based at Peenya, Bangalore.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Implements local go-to-market strategies aligned with global product marketing objectives, defining product value propositions and positioning to enhance market presence.
- Meets marketing and sales targets by regularly monitoring performance, implementing improvement plans, and creating business plans for growth.
- Performs market analysis and forecasting in collaboration with Sales/FES teams, assessing customer insights, market trends, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
- Enhances sales efficiency by providing product training, technical support, and marketing materials while promoting cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications for the role:
- Holds a B.E/B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Possesses 5–9 years of experience in the electrical industry.
- Has extensive knowledge of the Low Voltage (LV) switchgear market in final distribution.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing business or customer acquisition strategies.
- Displays a motivated attitude with a keen interest in meeting customers and expanding business opportunities.
- Willing to travel extensively to explore and expand customer networks.
- Ability to align business objectives with strategic initiatives to reach sales and market targets.
