About the position

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Product Marketing Manager for its Microprocessor Business Unit. This role is pivotal in managing all aspects of the product life cycle and supporting business development. The successful candidate will interact with customers, Microchip's field and technical teams to develop new solutions around Microchip MPUs as well as working on the roadmap and new products definition. The candidate will have:

  • A solid understanding of semiconductor business, MPU technologies, market trends, competitive insights and embedded system HW/SW requirements are essential for this position

  • A proven track record and significant experience in Product Marketing role specifically in MPUs

The manager will oversee solutions launches, ensuring effective positioning, customer engagement, sales and channel training, business development and the creation of press collateral in collaboration with the marketing communication team. Supporting the existing MPU portfolio and customer base is a key responsibility, which includes securing customers through visits and enhancing web presence.

The Product Marketing Manager will also be responsible for developing new products’ business cases, business plans and positioning strategies to grow Microchip's MPU business. In addition to product development, the role includes pricing strategy, forecasting & collaterals development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the product life cycle for MPU products

  • Develop a solid understanding of MPU technologies, market trends, competitive insights and markets requirements

  • Support existing MPU portfolio and customer base

  • Interact with customers, Microchip's field and technical teams to identify and define new product requirements

  • Create new products business case, business plan, and positioning to grow Microchip's MPU business

  • Oversee product launches, customer engagement, sales/channels training and press collaterals/campaigns with the marketing communication team

  • Secure customers through customer visits, business development activities, focused web presence & collaterals development

Requirements/Qualifications:

Requirements

  • MSC or equivalent degree

  • 5 to12 years of Marketing or/and Sales experience in Semiconductor company(ies)

  • Strong Product Marketing experience in MPUs

  • Proven Product Management experience

  • Good HW & SW skills in embedded systems designs

  • Understanding semiconductor business models, manufacturing technologies, and challenges

  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment across worldwide geographies

  • Excellent communication skills: presentation, writing, and listening

  • Willingness to adapt, learn, and listen

  • Frequent Travels

Preferred:

  • AI (Artificial Intelligence) in embedded systems knowledge/experience is a real plus

Travel Time:

25% - 50%
