Role:

We are seeking a confident, competent, and gritty Product Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team. As a PMM at Function, you’ll be part of a team that’s dedicated to using technology to improve healthcare. You’ll work on a cutting-edge platform that enables our members to access their health data in real-time, and you’ll be challenged to make a difference in people’s lives.The ideal candidate will be meticulous in their attention to detail, self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. As an early member of our team, your contributions will play a critical role in shaping the future of our systems as we scale from tens of thousands of members to millions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Execute Product Launches: Develop and manage comprehensive go-to-market strategies for product launches, ensuring seamless coordination and execution across all channels. Work in close collaboration with product, sales, and marketing teams to ensure that launch efforts are aligned with broader company objectives.
  • Create and Optimize Product Communication: Write and continuously refine copy for in-product messages, emails, push notifications, and other customer-facing communications. Establish and maintain a consistent tone, style, and messaging across all communications, collaborating with Product Managers to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Own and Evolve Member Journey: Strategically design and regularly update the customer journey to align with product updates and evolving member needs. Analyze member engagement and feedback to enhance experiences and optimize key touchpoints.
  • Conduct User and Market Research: Lead both qualitative and quantitative research initiatives to deeply understand user needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics. Synthesize these insights into actionable strategies that drive product development, marketing campaigns, and broader business initiatives.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Act as a pivotal bridge between the product, marketing, and design teams, ensuring cohesive communication and integrated user experiences. Support cross-functional efforts to align on strategic goals and priorities, fostering a collaborative environment that enhances project outcomes.


Qualifications/Skills:

  • ~5 years in a Product Marketing Manager role, ideally focused on growth product marketing.
  • Structured, analytical thinking with practical, hands-on execution.
  • Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • The candidate must possess significant experience in planning and executing product launches, ensuring strategic alignment across various channels to meet company objectives.
  • Must have extensive experience crafting and managing in-product and out-of-product communications, including emails, push notifications, and product introductions. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to maintain consistency in messaging and style across all communications, supporting Product Managers in unified brand expression.
  • The candidate is required to have a proven track record of owning and evolving the member journey. This includes regularly refreshing the customer journey maps every N-months to align with product updates and changing member needs.
