The Role 

Working closely with the product and sales teams, the Product Marketing Manager will bring their product knowledge and sales enablement experience to ensure successful sales readiness. The Product Marketing Manager will be the subject matter expert for our product and services and will support the product roadmap, customer voice, and GTM process to ensure successful releases.

What you’ll do

  • Accountable for the development and implementation of product marketing strategies for new and existing products/services, including market analysis, target audience identification, positioning, messaging, and sales enablement training/tools. 
  • Create client segmentation and ideal client profiles to better understand who the products/services serve along with specific use cases. 
  • Conduct market research and analyze data on customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and inform product development and marketing strategies. 
  • Define product positioning and messaging that highlights key features, benefits, and value propositions that differentiate us in the marketplace to target customers. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams by working closely with product management, sales, customer service, and other teams to ensure alignment on product strategy, launch plans, and ongoing marketing activities. 
  • Lead the planning and execution of product launches and demand generation, including developing launch plans, coordinating marketing campaigns, creating sales enablement materials, and training internal teams. 
  • Manage the creation and updating of marketing collateral, such as product datasheets, brochures, presentations, website content, and sales tools, to effectively communicate product value and benefits. 
  • Provide sales teams with the necessary tools, training, and resources to effectively sell and promote products, including sales presentations, competitive analysis, and customer case studies. 
  • Track and analyze marketing metrics, sales data, and customer feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for optimization. 
  • Own and evolve our customer reference program and strategy.
  • Keep up-to-date with market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and market differentiation.

Your foundation.  

The requirements for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, OR equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of product marketing experience (e.g., working in cross-functional marketing teams, creating product value propositions, and conducting market research).
  • Experience working with technical products and concepts with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Experience and proven track record of driving adoption, growth, retention, and results.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to create and apply program. timelines and interdependencies and execute on product initiatives. 

Additional capabilities that will differentiate you for this role:

  • Background or knowledge of the Cybersecurity/vulnerability management market.
  • Proven success in developing and driving GTM strategy and understanding the customer buying pattern (e.g., how do customers buy, what is their purchase criteria, etc.).
  • Hands on experience in the HubSpot ecosystem.
  • Ability to speak the language of product teams and sales teams fluently, shifting context with ease.
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence with demonstrated experience as a thought leader within the industry.
