Our talented, global workforce is dedicated to capturing audience engagement with content - wherever and whenever it’s consumed. Together, we are proudly rooted in our deep legacy as we stand at the forefront of the media revolution. When you join Nielsen, you will join a dynamic team committed to excellence, perseverance, and the ambition to make an impact together. We champion you, because when you succeed, we do too. We enable your best to power our future.

Job Description

This is a Product Marketing Manager who thinks like a strategist and builds like an operator. You own how Nielsen products go to market, not as a process to administer, but as the line that connects what the market needs, what we build, and how we win the category.

You understand the market and the customer's problem clearly enough to see what will matter before it is obvious. You carry that back to Product and shape the roadmap, so we build the thing that leads the category rather than the thing that was simplest to build. Then you turn that roadmap into a go-to-market motion that carries our customer-centric positioning all the way to the buyer.

The GTM operating model is how you do this at scale. The launch lifecycle, tiering, intake, and gates are yours to run and to sharpen. They are the instrument, not the job. The job is judgment about the market, conviction about the customer, and the standing to influence what gets built.

What you'll do

You will help build the PMM function from the ground up and turn our product vision into a market story customers act on. Much of the job is translation: making complex legacy architectures clear, and helping the company move from tradition to innovation. Working across Product, Sales, and Marketing, you will be the storyteller who keeps that narrative consistent everywhere it shows up.

  • Customer insights. Understand the customer deeply enough to represent them in a product review and to shape positioning, roadmap, and category definition.

  • Ops-Minded Product Marketing Manager who leverages data-driven insights to build structured launch engines and scale GTM strategy.  Partner with Product on roadmap prioritization where customer and competitive dynamics matter.

  • Positioning and messaging. Translate the brand's customer-centric positioning into sharp product-level stories, grounded in real evidence and a clear view of where the category is going.

  • Sales enablement. Build and maintain the assets that let a salesperson tell the story as well as you can: pitch decks, case studies, demos, battlecards, objection handling, and competitive teardowns.

  • Competitive and market intelligence. Turn market intelligence into action across product decisions, sales strategy, marketing campaigns, and executive planning.

Who you are

  • A market strategist. You read the market clearly enough to see what will matter to buyers before it is obvious, before it shows up in a competitor's launch. You hold a point of view about where the category is heading and how Nielsen leads it.

  • A customer champion. You start from the customer's problem, not the product's feature list. You understand their needs deeply enough to speak for the customer when they are not in the room, and to be trusted when you do. Every recommendation you make traces back to a real need.

  • A builder. This is a build moment for the team and the function, and you are at your best on a blank page. You help define the models and rhythms that turn our vision into something real, and you drive the change within the team to make it last. You reach for solutions, and you would rather build the system than wait for one.

  • An influential cross-functional partner. This role sits at the intersection of many orgs, and its impact comes from bringing them together around shared goals and a shared operating rhythm. You make everyone feel like they are building the same thing.

Qualifications

We are hiring for advanced craft and the independence to own your area end-to-end.

  • 5-10 years in product marketing or an adjacent GTM discipline, with significant time in large-scale B2B, data analytics, or media technology.

  • Comfort in technical environments, including API-driven and cloud-based architectures, with the ability to tell a clear technical story.

  • A track record of influencing what got built, not only how it was sold. You have helped shape a roadmap and can point to where it paid off.

  • The instinct to look beyond immediate product features and connect your work to the category-level positioning of Nielsen's intelligence platform.

  • Strong stakeholder communication. You can influence senior partners with a clear, compelling narrative.

  • A generous teammate. You are seen as a great cross-functional partner and raise the bar around you.

  • Clear, evocative writing. You can turn a complex capability into a sentence a buyer remembers.
