Position Overview:

A unique opportunity to join a high growth division whose mission is to design breakthrough compute SoCs, utilizing onsemi products, capabilities, and solutions. 

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Product Marketing Manager to define, validate, commercialize, and grow motor-control MCU platforms.

This role will serve as the business and market leader for an assigned MCU platform or product family. The successful candidate will translate customer needs, application requirements, competitive intelligence, and market evidence into product strategy, market requirements, business cases, roadmap recommendations, pricing, and go-to-market execution.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Define motor-control MCU product strategy, target applications, product requirements, and derivative roadmaps.
  • Lead customer discovery and voice-of-customer activities with strategic OEMs and ecosystem partners.
  • Develop market-sizing models, business cases, revenue forecasts, pricing recommendations, and product success metrics.
  • Assess competitive products, software ecosystems, system solutions, and pricing to establish differentiated positioning.
  • Identify enabling IP, software, tools, reference solutions, and external partnerships needed to accelerate growth.
  • Partner with Engineering, Systems, Applications, Software, Sales, Operations, and Marketing throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead platform positioning, go-to-market planning, launch readiness, sales enablement, and design-win support.
  • Build relationships with strategic customers and translate market requirements into roadmap and investment recommendations.
  • Monitor customer validation, design-win pipeline, revenue, margin, and product adoption, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Contribute to annual business planning and the long-term development of a scalable MCU franchise.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of semiconductor experience in product marketing, product management, applications engineering, systems engineering, or technical business development.
  • Experience defining or commercializing MCUs, embedded-control, motor-control, mixed-signal, or power semiconductor products.
  • Strong knowledge of MCU architectures, embedded software and development tools, control peripherals, and motor-control applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer discovery, competitive analysis, market sizing, business-case development, and product launches.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence decisions without direct reporting authority.
  • Strong customer-facing, presentation, analytical, and written-communication skills.
  • Experience working with global OEMs, distribution partners, and strategic design-win opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with BLDC/PMSM motor control, industrial drives, power tools, appliances, robotics, pumps, fans, or other motor-driven systems.
