Position Overview:
The Product Marketing Manager will develop and drive effective marketing strategies for a brand and/or set of products. They’ll work collaboratively with shared service resources, Product, and Sales to launch unique and differentiated marketing campaigns that drive B2C and B2B revenue. This role sits in the Financial Services ecosystem at Colibri. The Financial Services ecosystem primarily serves the securities, banking, wealth management, mortgage and insurance sectors with professional education products.  This role will drive the strategy, analysis, and execution for marketing growth, reporting to the Director of Marketing. The Product Marketing Manager will improve target market definition, messaging framework, tailor value narratives to customer personas, as well as develop and execute integrated go-to-market strategies that support revenue growth through customer acquisition, engagement, and returning customers.  

What You'll Do

  • Own the product marketing strategy for the insurance profession within the XCEL brand, ensuring alignment between sales, product, and marketing teams.
  • Act as the central coordinator for all marketing channels including paid media, organic, and email campaigns, setting the pace and tone to drive marketing contribution revenue.
  • Develop and execute omnichannel marketing plans that support both B2B account-based marketing efforts targeting larger insurance accounts and B2C initiatives to grow individual customer revenue.
  • Stay closely connected with product teams to understand upcoming product launches, feature updates, and changes to effectively position and promote offerings.
  • Collaborate with sales to design and support campaigns that resonate with a unique and entrepreneurial insurance sales force, ensuring consistent messaging and strong marketing support.
  • Translate complex product and market information into clear, compelling marketing content and sales enablement materials.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams including senior product marketers, sales leadership, and events marketing to maximize market impact.
  • Represent the insurance marketing function in internal meetings and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Participate in industry events and client-facing opportunities to deepen market understanding and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Continuously analyze campaign performance and market feedback to optimize marketing tactics and improve ROI.
  • Maintain patience, grace, and adaptability in working with a diverse and entrepreneurial sales team, helping to elevate their marketing engagement and success.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in multi-channel marketing; experience can include a mix of B2C marketing, product marketing, digital marketing, effective MQL production in the B2B marketing or channel marketing.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting B2B and B2C marketing strategies, with a strong focus on account-based marketing.
  • Familiarity with insurance industry dynamics and terminology is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
  • Experience managing a budget with high attention to detail.    
  • Experience in SalesForce is preferred
  • Proven ability to align sales, product, and marketing teams to drive consistent messaging and revenue growth.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple marketing channels including paid media, organic, and email campaigns.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence sales representatives.
  • Comfortable working independently as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Ability to bring patience, grace, and adaptability when working with entrepreneurial and unique sales teams.
  • Willingness to occasionally attend industry events to build relationships and gain market insights.
