At Wise we’re building money without borders, for people without borders. Our mission is to make moving money around the world instant, transparent, convenient, and eventually free. Millions of people already trust us to send, receive, and hold money globally.
The Spend squad is directly contributing to Wise’s mission by providing customers with a reliable, convenient, and eventually free way to spend anywhere in the world. For millions of users, the card is the primary way they interact with their money daily and live their international lives. We want to win new Wise card users and turn them into daily spenders by delivering a standout experience, from a traveler’s first tap to a growing business’s global expenses.
We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager to own how we position the Wise card and spending experience globally. As the first PMM for the Spend squad, you will be the bridge between our product capabilities and the people who use them, ensuring that the Wise card is the first choice for spending anywhere in the world.
Job DescriptionYour role and impact
As part of the Spend product team, you’ll own the global positioning of the Wise card, ensuring we don't just win new users, but turn them into lifelong "cross border and daily spenders." You’ll sit at the intersection of product, data, and storytelling to define what "spending" means in a borderless world.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead the growth charge: You will define the global positioning for the Wise card, driving both customer acquisition and high-frequency usage. You’ll shift the perception of Wise from a utility you use occasionally to the card you never leave home without.
Strategic partnerships: This role offers a unique seat at the table with the global Payment Schemes. You will collaborate directly with Mastercard and Visa to co-create high-impact activations and acquisition campaigns centered around major global events.
Translate complexity into delight: You’ll partner with our product, design, and engineering teams to turn our delightful features into clear, compelling value propositions that resonate across 170+ countries.
Be the voice of the customer: You’ll keep your finger on the pulse of how customers perceive us. That means listening to customer feedback, monitoring competitive moves, and making sure the team understands what resonates and what doesn’t. You’ll translate these insights into clear positioning frameworks.
Bridge global and local: You’ll partner with global and regional marketing teams to build awareness and conversion campaigns that resonate in our core markets, ensuring that whether a customer is at home or abroad, they understand why Wise is the smartest way to spend.
What we’re looking from you
Strong positioning experience: You’ve built or refined product narratives that differentiated a brand or product in a competitive space. You can make complex products simple and compelling.
Data-informed decision making: You use customer insights, research, and performance data to shape messaging and evaluate success. You’ve built metrics frameworks that link comms to adoption.
Global mindset: You understand localisation, customer segmentation, and how to balance global consistency with local relevance.
Collaborative leadership: You can work across product, engineering, marketing, and regional teams, bringing alignment without losing speed.
What’s in it for you?
The chance to own Wise’s cards global positioning for millions of customers.
Autonomy to set the product marketing strategy for Spend, with the support of a talented team.
A competitive compensation package, including RSUs.
A hybrid working model, allowing for a blend of home and office work.
A generous self-development budget and comprehensive benefits package.
The chance to work in a diverse, inclusive, and innovative environment.
For everyone, everywhere. We're people building money without borders — without judgement or prejudice, too. We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive.
We're proud to have a truly international team, and we celebrate our differences.
Inclusive teams help us live our values and make sure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute towards our mission and able to progress in their careers.
