We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager

Help small businesses in Germany get the funding they need. You'll be part of a new team, working with engineers and data experts to test ideas, build tools and shape experiences that allow customers to understand and access funding options for their business. A great fit if you enjoy mixing product marketing with data and hands-on delivery.

The company

Imagine a world where every small business has the power to thrive. That's the world we're building at iwoca. Small businesses aren't just statistics – they're the heartbeat of our communities, the character of our high streets, and the engine of our economy. Since 2012, we've revolutionised how these businesses access finance, turning what was once a lengthy, frustrating process into something remarkable: funding that's fast, flexible, and actually works for modern businesses.

Our impact speaks for itself: we've provided billions in funding to more than 150,000 businesses across Europe, making us one of the continent's leading fintech innovators. But we're just getting started. Our mission? To empower one million businesses with the financial tools they deserve.

We combine cutting-edge technology and data science with genuine human understanding to make finance feel less like a barrier and more like a superpower. Whether a business is managing cash flow or seizing unexpected opportunities, we ensure they get the funds they need – often within minutes.

The team

The DE Acquisition Tech team is building the systems, models, and user experiences that drive iwoca’s customer growth in Germany. The team covers the full journey from first contact to submitted loan application, ensuring potential customers receive relevant outreach, smooth onboarding, and a clear understanding of how iwoca helps their business.

You’ll be joining at an early stage, with the opportunity to help define how the team operates and contribute to future hiring as we scale. The squad includes a front end engineer, data scientist and data engineer, giving you the capability to turn insight into product and marketing outcomes quickly and iteratively.

The role

This role sits at the intersection of product, growth, customer experience, and data. You’ll shape positioning and messaging across the German market while partnering with engineering and data to deliver tools that power smarter acquisition and higher conversion.

You’ll define hypotheses, build experiments, and own initiatives that improve how German businesses first engage with iwoca. You’ll bring ideas to life through rigorous insight, strong customer empathy, and practical delivery, while also contributing to the long-term vision and operating cadence of this new team.

Commercial and market impact

  • Deeply understand the German SME lending landscape, customer needs, and competitive context.

  • Shape messaging, product positioning, and channel narratives that resonate with well-matched audiences.

  • Inform targeting and segmentation strategies to help Marketing and Sales reach the right customers.

Product build and optimisation

  • Partner with engineers and data scientists to develop tools such as lead scoring systems, eligibility checkers, and onboarding journeys.

  • Work with marketing, product, and engineering to evolve website content, sign-up flows, and decisioning logic to increase conversion.

  • Influence future team capability by helping define priorities, roles, and processes as we scale.

Experimentation and insight

  • Design, run, and interpret A/B tests across messaging, targeting, onboarding tools, and product flows.

  • Identify opportunities using first-principle reasoning supported by data, customer research, and funnel analysis.

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Act as the connective tissue between commercial teams and the Acquisition Tech squad.

  • Translate business goals into testable hypotheses and actionable product briefs.

  • Help establish the operating rhythm, rituals, and roadmap processes for this new team.

The requirements

Essential:

  • Experience working in product marketing or a similar role focused on acquisition, growth, or onboarding.

  • Fluency in German and strong written communication skills tailored to customer-facing environments.

  • Strong analytical capability and experience with experimentation frameworks and A/B testing tools.

  • Experience working with or alongside models such as lead scoring, predictive targeting, or qualification logic.

  • Ability to work from first principles and thrive in ambiguity with curiosity and autonomy.

Bonus:

  • Experience in fintech, lending, B2B SaaS, or regulated products.

  • Experience working with data science teams or involvement in modelling projects.

  • Knowledge of the German SME ecosystem or B2B financial products.

  • Experience working in or helping build newly formed teams.

The salary

We expect to pay from £60,000—£80,000 for this role. But, we’re open-minded, so definitely include your salary goals with your application. We routinely benchmark salaries against market rates, and run quarterly performance and salary reviews.

The culture

At iwoca, we prioritise a culture of learning, growth, and support, and invest in the professional development of our team members. We value thought and skill diversity, and encourage you to explore new areas of interest to help us innovate and improve our products and services.

The offices

We put a lot of effort into making iwoca a great place to work:

  • Offices in London, Leeds, Berlin, and Frankfurt with plenty of drinks and snacks.

  • Events and clubs, like bingo, comedy nights, football, etc.

The benefits

  • Flexible working hours.

  • Medical insurance from Vitality, including discounted gym membership.

  • A private GP service (separate from Vitality) for you, your partner, and your dependents.

  • 25 days’ holiday per year, an extra day off for your birthday, the option to buy or sell an additional five days of annual leave, and unlimited unpaid leave.

  • A one-month, fully paid sabbatical after four years.

  • Instant access to external counselling and therapy sessions for team members that need emotional or mental health support.

  • 3% Pension contributions on total earnings.

  • An employee equity incentive scheme.

  • Generous parental leave and a nursery tax benefit scheme to help you save money.

  • Electric car scheme and cycle to work scheme.

  • Two company retreats a year: we’ve been to France, Italy, Spain, and further afield.

And to make sure we all keep learning, we offer:

  • A learning and development budget for everyone.

  • Company-wide talks with internal and external speakers.

  • Access to learning platforms like Treehouse

What We Do

iwoca was founded to expand possibilities for small businesses.

At iwoca, we believe finance should feel like a superpower, not a headache. That’s why our founders, Chris and James, decided to create a solution custom-built for small businesses. One that strips out the hassle, gets to know what each business needs, and looks for opportunities rather than problems. One that provides access to finance where and when your business needs it.

Our partner integrations and our Lending API mean we can provide access to finance where and when small businesses need it. Our award winning credit risk engine help us make faster, more accurate credit decisions built around the performance of the business.

We are proud to be NACFB Lender of the year, Xero Financial Services App of the year and, most recently, winner of the £10m Banking Competition Remedies grant.

Since 2012, we’ve made funding available to over 50,000 businesses, from cafés to car dealers, salons to solicitors. But we’ve only just started. Our mission is to fund one million small businesses.
