We're looking for a seasoned Product Marketing Lead to run and scale the impact of product marketing across Canary. You'll manage an existing team of top PMMs and act as the connective tissue between product, sales, and marketing. You will define Canary’s unique place in the hospitality market as the leader in agentic AI solutions for guest and staff management.
This is not a coordinator role. It’s also not a pure strategy role. You'll set the positioning and messaging framework for the entire platform, own pricing and packaging strategy, and make Canary’s value clear and compelling for individual hotels as well as world-class brands. You'll work directly with the Head of Brand Marketing and the rest of the leadership team to influence strategy and prioritize roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Team leadership. Manage, coach, and develop a team of PMMs (currently 3). Build the function's operating model and hold a high bar on quality and speed of execution. Foster a culture of continuous investment in individuals and the function as a whole rooted in ongoing feedback and improvements that makes the team better every quarter.
- Positioning and messaging. Define and maintain Canary's platform and product-level positioning. Translate complex AI capabilities into clear, differentiated value props for hotel operators — from global enterprise brands to independent properties.
- Storytelling and narrative. Build the overarching platform narrative and ensure it holds across every touchpoint — the website, sales decks, event keynotes, analyst briefings, and customer conversations. Differentiate Canary’s narrative from the competitive landscape.
- Product launches. Own the GTM process end to end — launch strategy, tiering, internal collaboration, and external amplification.
- Product suite performance. Continuous analytics and monitoring on product performance and opportunities for improvement from pipeline through churn reduction.
- Market intelligence. Maintain a deep, current read on the hospitality tech competitive landscape, buyer dynamics, and how the AI wave is reshaping the category.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in product marketing, with at least 2–3 years managing and developing a PMM team.
- Experience scaling the impact of a PMM function — not just inheriting one.
- Deep expertise in pricing and packaging strategy, ideally in a SaaS context with a multi-product portfolio.
- Strong positioning and messaging chops — you've taken complex products to market and made them simple and compelling.
- Experience with product launches from concept through post-launch measurement; you've run launches across multiple tiers and know how to calibrate the machine.
- A storyteller at heart — you write and communicate with precision and can shift register from a hotel GM to a C-suite executive to an analyst.
- Analytically rigorous — you use data to make decisions, build business cases, and keep customer value and ROI as central to the product story.
- Background in B2B SaaS AI or hospitality technology strongly preferred; candidates who've worked in vertically focused SaaS (especially in industries with complex, multi-segment buyer dynamics) will stand out.
- Based in New York City; comfortable in a hybrid environment (3 days / week in office)
Compensation
Target cash compensation ranges from $190,000 – $230,000, including a fixed annual salary and a performance-based bonus paid monthly.
This role also includes a stock option grant, subject to board approval.
Actual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's skill level, experience, and specific work location.
