Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Sr. Product Marketing Engineer in Solidigm's Product Marketing Engineering function — a recognized industry authority in datacenter SSD and NAND storage. This role is reserved for a proven leader in the SSD field who has consistently driven transformative outcomes across product portfolios, customer engagements, and industry forums. The successful candidate will own end-to-end stakeholder management across the product lifecycle — engaging seamlessly with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Operations, executive leadership, hyperscale and enterprise customers, and external industry bodies (NVMe, OCP, SNIA). They will set the standard for excellent communication and presentation skills, representing Solidigm at the C-suite level internally, in front of customer decision-makers, and on industry stages where Solidigm's strategic narrative is shaped. This is a high-visibility role for a strategic operator who leads through influence rather than authority, mentors the next generation of PME talent, and elevates the entire organization's capability to win in the datacenter SSD market.
End-to-End Stakeholder Management
- Own the full stakeholder lifecycle across product introduction, sustaining, and end-of-life — from roadmap interception through customer ramp, qualification, and post-launch support.
- Lead conflict resolution and issue management at the highest organizational levels, consistently demonstrating influence, composure, and strategic impact.
- Take full ownership for end-state solutions in complex product and customer enablement initiatives, integrating input from all functional leads (Engineering, Quality, Operations, Sales, Finance, Legal) to ensure alignment, mitigate risk, and deliver successful outcomes.
- Proactively engage with industry stakeholders and partner decision-makers beyond Solidigm, building durable, trust-based relationships that advance long-term business objectives.
- Serve as the single point of accountability for portfolio-level execution, ensuring cross-product alignment between PDT, PMT, and executive forums.
Proven SSD Field Leadership
- Bring 15-20 years of experience in storage and SSDs, with a demonstrated track record of leading product marketing initiatives that have shaped industry direction across multiple technology generations (NAND, Controller, Interface).
- Apply mastery of SSD attributes — form factor, power, performance, endurance, NAND media (TLC/QLC), controller architecture, firmware features — to recommend product and roadmap changes that anticipate market shifts (AI training/inference workloads, hyperscale storage tiering, emerging interface standards).
- Lead competitive analysis at the portfolio level, evaluating products and services to inform strategic recommendations on positioning, pricing, and go-to-market approach.
- Provide active and direct coaching and mentoring to PMEs across grade levels, demonstrating leadership in developing talent across the organization and elevating overall team capability.
- Stay current on and influence NVMe, OCP, SNIA, and other industry specifications shaping the future of datacenter storage.
Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills
- Deliver executive-level presentations to senior Solidigm leadership (Directors, Senior Directors, VPs, C-suite) and to external audiences including customer executives, industry analysts, and conference attendees.
- Represent Solidigm and its strategy at industry events (FMS, OCP Global Summit, SNIA SDC, customer tech days) and in customer-facing presentations with confidence, credibility, and authority.
- Communicate data-driven, strategically oriented product updates and milestones with clarity, ensuring messages are accurate, well-organized, and tailored to the audience — whether internal product execution or customer facing forums
Strategic Impact
- Lead efficiency improvement initiatives that scale across the PME function, codifying best practices and establishing new standards where existing processes are insufficient.
- Influence Solidigm's datacenter SSD roadmap and segment strategy through synthesis of competitive intelligence, customer insights, and emerging technology trends (AI workloads, storage tiering, computational storage).
- Be recognized as a go-to resource for market intelligence, competitive positioning, and customer strategy — internally and across the storage industry.
The compensation range for this role is $133,680 - $213,900. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
This position is also eligible to participate in Solidigm's restricted stock unit (RSU), restricted cash unit (RCU), and cash bonus programs. In addition, Solidigm offers a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, supplemental life and AD&D insurance; short- and long-term disability; healthcare and dependent care flexible spending accounts, and a company match on eligible 401(k) plan contributions.
