Product Marketing Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the encoder product pricing, product margin and design win revenue
• Drive Design In/Win to production  to meet revenue goal
• Involve in the encoder product development process with below responsibilities:
  • Market Analysis and Solicit customer engineering requirements
  • Drive Product Definition to implementation meeting market requirements
  • Align and involve in product innovation meeting short and long term strategy
  • Apply financial justification analysis
  • Publish go to market plan and  training material
• Publish technical collaterals and other promotional material
• Develop demo kit  and product reference design
• Create market demand and responsible for the Design Win
• Publish technical competition analysis and market environment analysis
• Develop written or visual product documentation, promotion material and application notes to create/improve product adoption.
• Cross functional teamwork with R&D, manufacturing, QA and worldwide sales.
• Solves a broad range of customer application problems of varying scope and complexity. Provide technical consultancy for Design Team translating customer requirement into product specification.
• Flexible to situation and business strategy change and independent to handle multiple assignments within short notice. Be preparing to work across region in different time zone (US, Europe, Japan and APAC) to fulfill customer expectation from technical and marketing aspects.
• Lead the project team in collaborating with customers & standards organization on product definition and compliance to industry standard.

Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Elecro-Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 7 years relevant working experience in the product marketing or technical marketing in the area of  Industrial Automation, Control Engineering or Optical Engineering.
• Encoders application knowledge in related motion control system, industrial automation system application will be an added advantage.
• Market knowledge in Industrial Automation, Servo Motors and related encoders technology application will be an advantage
• Excellent communication and written skill in English with diverse interest in electronics or electro-mechanical engineering. Proven hands-on analytical problem solving capability with in depth technical know-how. Proficiency in Chinese and Japanese language will be an added advantage.
