Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Americas is currently seeking applicants for a Technical Product Engineer.

This person will be responsible for supporting product marketing department with technical knowledge for assigned product lines and will assist in developing technical documents, simulations, and collateral.

Location:  This position is on-site in Columbus, Nebraska.  Will assist with relocation.

What you will be doing

• Carries out product testing, develops simulation models, writes white papers and other technical collateral to help assist product marketing department in product promotion
• Participates in R&D / Engineering meetings to understand the technical developments of Vishay products.
• Work effectively with other staff members and customers to support technical opportunities.
• Provides feedback and opportunities to division R&D for new product development.
• Supports customer drawing reviews and technical quotes.
• Responsible for learning and progressing engineering models through software
• Supports the customer design in process and technical needs.
• Initiates new product development and emphasize market growth.
• Technical analysis and test design for product and competitor analysis.
• Take ownership of drawing review and quote process to create efficiencies and faster response.

What you will bring along:

• Prefer 3-5 years related experience but not required
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar required.
• Experience within the electronics industry highly preferred
