Overall Purpose

Responsible for expanding Zelle beyond person to person money movement into everyday payments, with an emphasis on small and mid-sized businesses and broader merchant acceptance. This role will define and drive the go to market strategy that enables financial institutions and partners to bring Zelle to business use cases. This includes building the segmentation, value proposition, and activation strategy required to scale adoption. This role will collaborate across product, legal, sales, and marketing teams to position our current and future solutions, and create marketing content and sales enablement programs.

Essential Functions:

  • Own the go to market strategy for expanding Zelle into corporate biller and omni-channel merchant use cases, including acquisition, activation, and ongoing engagement

  • Define priority segments, verticals, and partner pathways to scale adoption through financial institutions and platform partners

  • Build and operationalize repeatable go to market frameworks including positioning, packaging, launch readiness, and post launch optimization

  • Develop clear and differentiated messaging that translates Zelle’s value for business payments into simple, compelling narratives for SMBs, corporate billers, omni-channel merchants and partners

  • Partner with Product and Partnerships to ensure roadmap priorities align with market demand and unlock scalable adoption opportunities

  • Lead end to end launch execution, including partner toolkits, sales enablement, and activation programs tied to measurable outcomes

  • Establish and track KPIs across merchant acquisition, activation, transaction volume, and retention, driving accountability across cross functional teams

  • Create a continuous cycle of testing, measurement, and optimization to improve go to market effectiveness over time

  • Act as the central connector across Product, Marketing, Sales, and external partners to align on priorities, timelines, and success metrics

  • Enable financial institutions with scalable marketing frameworks and tools to drive adoption

  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Communications to ensure messaging is accurate, compliant, and reinforces trust in business use cases

  • Inform resource allocation by identifying the highest impact growth levers and aligning investment to performance outcomes

  • Supports the company’s commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education and/or experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field

  • Typically, a minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in product marketing, growth, or go to market roles within fintech, payments or merchant focused platforms

  • Experience launching new products or expanding into new market segments with clear, structured go to market approaches

  • Proven track record of crafting compelling positioning, messaging, and content to support marketing, product, and sales teams

  • Breadth of skills with ability to move between strategic planning and ideation, as well as hands-on execution

  • Track record of driving measurable outcomes such as customer acquisition, activation, and usage growth

  • Ability to operate effectively in fast moving and ambiguous environments

  • Proven leadership and ability to influence others

  • Background and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with financial institution distribution models and operational constraints

  • Experience working with platform partners such as POS systems, SaaS providers, or marketplaces

  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations in payments

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment.  Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours.  Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching.  Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently.  Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers.  Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.

The base pay scale for this position in:
New York, NY/ San Francisco, CA in USD per year is: $186,000 - $232,000.
Additionally, candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.
