Position Summary
The Director of Product Marketing, Caris Assure CGP/MRD will be the primary marketing leader and subject matter expert for the Caris Assure portfolio. This role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives brand differentiation and synergy across Caris’ products. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate business goals into actionable marketing and content strategies, build product awareness, and drive messaging to key target audiences. This individual will lead commercial launch preparations, including creative development and content strategy, and will be accountable for successful launches, ongoing optimization, and assessment of results. This role reports to the VP of Marketing Product Commercialization.
 

This individual must be able to utilize vision, think strategically, and develop strategies for oncology key accounts in oncology centers of excellence while partnering with an industry leading team of strategic and commercial marketers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record and success in oncology marketing with excellent presentation and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and own marketing strategy that aligns with business goals, including brand differentiation, market positioning and growth targets across Caris Assure portfolio.

  • Create and maintain content strategy to engage with key target audiences to build product awareness and drive messaging.

  • Inform product marketing strategy through comprehensive analysis: This involves gathering Voice of Customer (VOC) insights via continuous engagement, networking, and direct feedback; developing persona and audience understanding through research and stakeholder input; and performing in-depth market and competitor analyses to highlight differentiation.

  • Prepare for commercial launch – finalize the creative idea and create content strategy to engage key target audiences; develop all launch collateral for multiple downstream channels.

  • Partner with VP of Product Marketing Commercialization to develop long-term product roadmap and collaborate with product eco-system (product, sales, training, clinical, regulatory, and others) to achieve business goals and drive results.

  • Collaborate across key stakeholders to enable holistic messaging, including upstream and downstream partners in R&D, Medical, Sales, Digital, etc. to achieve shared business goals including revenue and KPIs.

  • Partner with sales to define overarching targeting, launch roll out prioritization, and lead sales training on materials, sales content, and playbooks.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, management, science, or related field required.

  • 8+ years in oncology and biopharma marketing, including 5+ years as a leader of the product marketing function. Prior healthcare experience (in vitro diagnostic, pharmaceutical, oncology, etc.) a plus.

  • Product Upstream Marketing for an oncologist/patient-facing physician audience in biotech, medical device, or similar industry required

  • Must have experience: launching and supporting existing products, leading a product marketing team, owning and driving product and product portfolio marketing strategy and tactics, creating clinical marketing content.

  • Experience managing agency relationships, priorities, and budgets.

  • Experience working closely with internal and external customers.

  • Ability to collaborate across functions, especially sales and marketing peers.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • Must be well organized and have the ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.

  • Must be a strategic problem-solver, and influencer with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Engage with key internal stakeholders to support product enhancements, new product launches and customer engagement.

  • Demonstrated success delivering growth with customized campaign strategy, planning and execution based on customer segments.

  • Strategic thinker who can understand business complexities and develop an innovative and creative customer value proposition and marketing plan that addresses these nuances.

  • Effective communicator who is comfortable presenting to a variety of audiences and stakeholders at various levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA preferred.

  • Clinical knowledge or understanding of oncology with marketing product launch preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Will work at a computer.

  • Visual acuity and analytical skill to distinguish fine detail.

  • Must possess ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
