We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead and innovate our Merchant Acquiring and Card Processing solutions. In this role, you will own the end-to-end product lifecycle for our merchant services—from onboarding to settlement. You will bridge the gap between complex payment infrastructure (schemes, gateways, processors) and a seamless, intuitive experience for our merchants.

The ideal candidate has a deep technical understanding of how money moves (Acquiring) and a strong empathy for the business owners (Merchants) who rely on us to get paid.

1. Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Execute the product roadmap for merchant acquiring solutions (POS, Payment Gateway, SoftPOS, or Unified Commerce).

  • Conduct market research to identify gaps in our current acquiring capabilities compared to competitors (e.g., settlement speeds, acceptance rates, alternative payment methods).

  • Translate high-level business goals into detailed Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) and user stories for engineering teams.

2. Merchant Experience (CX) & Lifecycle Management

  • Actively identify pain points in the merchant journey (e.g., payment failures, ambiguous error codes) and work to eliminate them. Streamline the merchant onboarding and servicing process (KYC/KYB) to reduce "Time to First Transaction.

3. Performance & Analytics

  • Monitor key product metrics: Authorization Rates, TPV (Total Payment Volume), Churn Rate, and Net Promoter Score (NPS).

  • Analyze transaction data to identify failure patterns and work with engineering to fix root causes at the switch/gateway level.

Requirements
  • Experience: 4–7 years of relevant industry experience, with at least 3 years specifically in Payments, Merchant Acquiring, or Fin-tech.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance. An MBA is a plus but not mandatory.

  • Domain Knowledge:

    • Deep understanding of the Acquiring Value Chain (Merchant  -> Acquirer ->Network ->Issuer).

    • Familiarity with ISO 8583 messaging, API integrations (REST/JSON), and Payment Gateway architecture.

    • Knowledge of regulatory compliance

  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read API documentation, write SQL queries for basic data analysis, and discuss architecture with engineering leads. Ability to analyze data, observe trends and determine scope of improvement. Ability to build competitive customer experience solutions. Ability to translate problem statements to generic and scalable product solutions.
