Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future, to our 10 million + personal and small business customers. We offer market-leading products and services, supported by some of the world’s best systems and processes.

The Consumer Spending Crew has end-to-end responsibility for the Commonwealth Bank Credit Cards and Low-Cost Credit Cards business. We consist of squads that look after the development of the credit card products, acquisition, the growth of our portfolio, our loyalty program and end-to-end process improvement. Within the Origination & Onboarding Stream our vision is to help customers go from ‘I want to I can spend”  with focus on curating a simple, automated and fast experiences for customers, our objective is to improve the quality of experience for customers while reduce turnaround time from application start to spending from application form, verification experience through to onboarding their card.

As a Product Manager in our squad, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our credit card origination experience, enhancing customer experiences to seamlessly onboard, simplify operational processes and drive business growth. Your primary objective will be to support the Origination & Onboarding stream squads in delivering exceptional customer and automated experiences. In this exciting and ever evolving role, your strong stakeholder and engagement skills will see you develop and manage key business partner relationships critical to the team’s success.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Support the delivery of the squad’s Credit Card and Low-Cost Credit Card origination across uplifting our verification experience and driving improved onboarding of credit for our customers.
  • Support with documenting and building business requirements to support change
  • Analyse customer complaints to identify breakpoints, areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Oversee and manage change to ensure it is delivered seamlessly, and key stakeholders are supported by the business
  • Responsible for proactively managing risks associated with the squad

  • Strong Cards product knowledge is preferred, experience managing Banking products highly regarded
  • Demonstrate the ability to think strategically, execute initiatives at pace that drive customer, operation and business value

  • Experience in delivering strong outcomes in an Agile environment
  • Experience with Agile tools e.g. Jira and Confluence
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including the ability to progress multiple initiatives concurrently
  • Ability to think analytically and use data and insights to make decisions
