Compensation for this role is $100,000-$130,000 The role may also be eligible for bonus or commission pay. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set.

RXO is seeking a Product Manager to join the Capacity Pillar, responsible for building and scaling digital products that improve how RXO sources, activates, and retains carrier capacity. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, brokerage operations, and technology, with direct ownership of initiatives that impact coverage, cost, carrier engagement, and operational efficiency.

The Capacity Pillar Product Manager owns end‑to‑end product delivery for their assigned problem space—partnering closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Operations, and Business stakeholders to identify opportunities, define solutions, and drive measurable outcomes. Success in this role requires strong product judgment, comfort operating in complexity, and a bias toward execution.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Strategy

  • Own a defined set of capacity‑focused product areas, from problem discovery through delivery and iteration.
  • Develop and maintain a prioritized product roadmap aligned to Capacity Pillar goals such as coverage consistency, cost control (COPT), and carrier engagement.
  • Translate brokerage and carrier pain points into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Balance short‑term operational needs with longer‑term platform and strategic investments.

Cross‑Functional Execution

  • Partner closely with Engineering to plan, scope, and deliver high‑quality product enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Design to ensure workflows are intuitive, efficient, and aligned with RXO’s design system.
  • Work with Data, BI, and Analytics to define success metrics, monitor performance, and inform prioritization.
  • Act as the primary product point of contact for stakeholders across Brokerage Operations, Capacity, Carrier Sales, and Support.

Delivery & Outcomes

  • Drive execution, ensuring work is well‑defined, sequenced, and delivered predictably.
  • Own launch readiness, including coordination with Product Success, Support, and Operations.
  • Measure outcomes using clearly defined KPIs 
  • Continuously iterate based on usage data, feedback, and operational signals.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Clearly communicate product vision, tradeoffs, timelines, and outcomes to leadership and partner teams.
  • Prepare concise, executive‑ready updates and readouts for reviews, milestones, and decision points.
  • Represent the product perspective in cross‑functional forums and working sessions.

Experience & Qualifications

Required

  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager or equivalent role in a technology‑driven environment.
  • Demonstrated success owning products through the full lifecycle—from discovery to launch and iteration.
  • Strong ability to translate complex operational problems into actionable product solutions.
  • Experience working closely with Engineering teams in an agile delivery model.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Comfort working with data and metrics to evaluate product performance and guide decisions.

Preferred

  • Experience in logistics, freight brokerage, marketplaces, or operationally complex platforms.
  • Experience working with carrier‑facing tools, operator workflows, or high‑volume transactional systems.
  • Exposure to automation, AI‑enabled workflows, or decision‑support products.
  • Prior experience partnering with field or desk‑level operations teams.
