Supports the management of key product line lifecycles. Understands market and industry trends. Participates in new product introduction and existing product change introduction. Responsible for supporting the development and deployment of specific product, price, place and promotional plans for a product line(s) that result in profitable growth.


Key Responsibilities:

Facilitates the development of product introduction plans. Understands and deploys all aspects of the marketing promotional matrix to ensure the successful launch of new products. Understands available marketing resources and uses those resources appropriately and as needed to support the product range. Develops content product literature with product specifications, cross reference, and other information; develops global training material content. Understands how to protect intellectual property of the organization and works with legal counsel and engineering to ensure asset protection. Understands target market and market competitors; with the Product Manager, plans for and implements an appropriate product range response. Monitors ongoing customer satisfaction and works with the Product Manager to solve ongoing customer issues in relation to the product range. Supports the development, implementation, and measurement of results of product promotions. Supports collaboration with other functions and global locations to ensure global profitability of the product line; supports annual strategy planning and global product planning work. Assists in addressing daily operational issues for product lines.

Marketing Plan Management - Develops marketing mix recommendations based on the 4 P’s (Product, Price, Promotion, and Placement) to meet customer needs and achieve business objectives; guides and influences cross-functional implementation and creates framework to evaluate market responses and business performance. 
Maximizing Profitability - Develops strategies that demonstrate the use of all marketing and sales levers (e.g. pricing strategies, promotions, volume based incentives, and value, feature, or benefit selling) to optimize profit. 
Positioning For Target Segments - Aggregates appropriate inputs (e.g. customer perceptions, competitor positioning, alternative product capabilities) and determining where we need or want to compete for business within the target market segment. 
Product Life Cycle Management - Identifies and executes changes to the product portfolio in response to evolving market dynamics and customer needs 
Translating Relevant Market Data - Collects and categorizes customer voices and market information by leveraging appropriate research tools and techniques; analyzes research findings to identify opportunities to deliver customer solutions. 
Values differences - Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization. 
Education, Licenses, Certifications: 
College, university, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales, or a technical or related subject required. 
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. 
Experience: 
Minimal relevant work experience required.

Start Date: July 2026 but flexible

Job Skill Requirements: 

  • 2-3 core responsibilities or activities unique to the role
    • Assist in solving time-sensitive customer issues involving the engagement and coordination of multiple business functions.
    • Analyze product costs and margins to facilitate decisions which maximize profitability while maintaining competitive positioning.
    • Lead, or represent the Marketing function on, projects to vet, develop, or release new products and product enhancements.
  • 2-4 Skill, Education, or Experience Requirements needed for the role 
    • Formal education in Business Administration, Marketing, or Data Analytics
    • Demonstration of strong initiative and self-motivation
    • Solid IT fundamentals (ex. fluent in MS applications including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
  • 1-2 Skill, Education, or Experience Preferences that are nice to have but not required)
    • Bi-lingual in Spanish or French
    • Knowledge related to backup power generation industry (ex. generators, transfer switches, circuit breakers, switchgear, microgrids, renewables)
