As a Product Manager – Pharma, you will have end-to-end responsibility for managing and optimising a defined pharmaceutical product portfolio. You will act as the key interface between suppliers, internal stakeholders, and the sales team, ensuring compliant product sourcing, effective pricing, portfolio growth, and value creation across the pharmaceutical value chain.
Responsibilities- Prepare and conduct business reviews with internal and external stakeholders
- Lead supplier price negotiations and ongoing price management
- Clarify packaging, transport, legal, and regulatory requirements
- Provide feedback on offers, tenders, and product samples
- Collect, analyse, and share market intelligence with relevant teams
- Initiate and support new product and market development projects with Sales
- Monitor and manage the opportunity pipeline in collaboration with Sales
- Conduct annual supplier evaluations
- Support the Regulatory department with quality implementation and compliance
- Manage new product launches, ensuring compliance across functions
- Collect and maintain all relevant product documentation
- Manage inventory and forecasting with Sales team
- Initiate and manage product-related complaints with relevant departments
- Support Regulatory with customer and authority requests
- Review and validate freight and logistics costs
- Source new products and suppliers aligned to portfolio strategy
- Engage Procurement for purchase order execution, follow-up, and stock management
- Update Sales on new products, portfolio changes, and price updates
- Provide technical and commercial product support
You are a commercially driven and analytically strong product professional with experience in the pharmaceutical or regulated chemical industry. You are comfortable operating across functions, managing complex supplier relationships, and balancing compliance, margin optimisation, and portfolio growth in a fast-paced environment.

- Demonstrated ability to manage complex supplier relationships and work within regulatory and quality frameworks
- Strong exposure to pricing structures, margin management, forecasting, and inventory optimisation using SAP, CRM, and MS Office
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business Management
- Post-graduate or industry-specific training in pharmaceuticals, regulatory affairs, quality management, or supply chain will be an advantage
